Girls Regional Golf Results For Wednesday, May 15th

Carroll at Nisha Hills

The Carroll Tigers’ season came to an end on Wednesday with a seventh-place finish at Nisha Hills Golf in Atlantic. The Tigers shot a 418, which was good for seventh. Gilbert won the regional with a team score of 299. Nevada was second with a score of 348.  Delaney Schurke had the lowest score of the Tigers, with a score of 97. Amelia Henson shot the second-lowest score of Carroll with a 103. Emma Hoffman wrapped up her season with a score of 108. Morgan Roberts. Ella Perry and Karleen Weitl all shot in the 110’s. Robert finished with a 117, Perry finished with a 110, and Weitl had a round of 114.

East Sac and Kuemper At Class 2A At Carroll Muni Golf Course

The Kuemper Girls are heading to the State Golf Tournament after a strong showing on Wednesday at the Carroll Muni. East Sac saw a tremendous season come to an end, having won the Twin Lakes Conference and their Sectional last week. The Raiders take 5th at the District meet on Tuesday. Elsa Tiefenthaler and Addy Beiter of Kuemper both finished in the top 10, and the Knights had their top five players in the top 25. East Sac had two players in the top 11, four in the top 26, with all six of their players in the top 32. 

Elsa Tiefenthaler had a strong day for Kuemper, shooting an 86 with a 43 on the front and a 43 on the back 9. She had four pars on the front 9 and four more on the back 9. Addy Beiter added a 90, shooting a 45 on the front 9 with four pars and a 90 on the back 9. Grace Tigges added a 100 for the Knights, and Giada Lujano shot a 105. 

Sidney Bieret led the Raiders with a 93, going 46 on the front 9 with a birdie on #2 and a par, on the back Bieret shot a 47, adding 3 straight pars. Makenna Steiger also shot a 93 for the Raiders. Steiger had a 45 on the front 9 with 2 pars and a 48 on the back 9. Ella Wilson shot a 105, with Kendall Quirk finishing with a 107.

Addy Boell and Elizabeth Lloyd of Glidden-Ralston at Crestwood Hills

Addy Boell qualifies for the state tournament with a second-place finish for Glidden-Ralston on Wednesday at Crestwood Hills in Anita. BCLUW was the Regional champion with a team score of 378. Newell-Fonda was second with a team score of 397. The Wildcats did not record a team score Wednesday because only two individuals participating. The medalist was Jaylee Shaffer of Mount Ary, who scored 76. Addy Boell of Glidden-Ralston was the runner-up with a round of 82. Elizabeth Lloyd of Glidden-Ralston finished 26th with a score of 109. Boell will golf at the state meet next week at American Legion Golf Course in Marshalltown.
