Kuemper rolled through their quarterfinal matchup at Denison on Saturday morning, winning the meet without having to venture into the doubles matches. The Knights won the first-four seeded matches in singles, then ended the meet with a win in #6 singles. Kuemper went 5-1 in matches and were 10-2 in sets and 64-25 in games played. Hans Kraus was the most dominant Knight, not dropping a game, winning 6-0, 6-0. Max Reincke nearly swept his sets, dropping one game. Josh Langel dropped 2 games in the 1st set, then won set two 6-1. Mason Reicks dominated set one, winning 6-0, but had to battle to earn a 6-4 win in set two while Carter Running was strong in both sets, winning 6-3, 6-2.

Kuemper At Glenwood- Semifinals

Kuemper earned a really nice win on the road in the semifinals, knocking off a strong Glenwood squad. The Knights won the final four singles matches after dropping #1 and #2 singles, then rallied to lead 4-2 going into doubles. Needing just one win in three matches to move into the finals against Boone, the Knights picked up a 7-6 (7-4), 6-2 win by Mason Reicks and Jake Hausman in #2 doubles to end the match. Kuemper was 4-2 in singles matches, going 8-5 in sets and 63-52 in games. In doubles the Knights went 1-1 in matches with a 2-2 record in sets. Kuemper finished doubles 19-21 in games.
Hanks Kraus won his singles match, going 12-2 in games played, Max Reinck dropped 4 games in set two, but swept set one. Jake Hausman fought for a 6-4 win in set one, then rolled to a 6-2 win in set two and Carter Running dropped the second set, after leading 1-0 but played very well in set three to earn a 6-2 win, putting the Knights up 4-2 going into doubles.

Audubon At Glenwood- Quarterfinals

Audubon played well with Carson Matthews up in his second set when the match ended and Isaac Jackson competing well in his opening set but their season came to an end on the road at Glenwood in the opening round of Districts. Matthews played very well, though his match wasn’t completed when Glenwood clinched the meet win. He led his opening set late but fell 6-4 before taking a 3-0 lead in the second set. Isaac Jackson battled well, taking 3 games in the opening set and Zackary Schmidt played well in both sets, falling 6-2, 6-4. The Wheelers went 0-5 in matches and 0-11 in sets but went 18-66 in games.
