A slow start put the Tigers behind early and they weren’t able to recover in a home loss on Tuesday. North Polk scored on a goal by Seth Sparks with 37:05 left in the 1st half, then added goals by Malachi Blevins and a second goal by Sparks in the next 12:00 and led 3-0. Chase Ragaller answered the second Sparks goal, scoring with 24:56 left in the half, a 1:04 after the Comets went up 3-0, cutting the deficit to 3-1. The game slowed at that point until the final 12:07 when North Polk scored a three goals in a 3:42 span and led 6-1 at half. Their quick strike late in the half rolled into the start of the 2nd half as North Polk scored 0:51 into the half, then added another goal with 25:56 left. North Polk scored late in the game to stretch the lead to 9-1. Carroll had five shots on goal with Chase Ragaller having a pair of them and single shots on goal from Elias Villanueva, Jameson Polking and Keiran Polking. The Tigers had three corner kicks. Tanner Heithoff finished with 11 saves.
Carroll falls to 3-11 and will host Winterset on Thursday.

Kuemper pulled away in the 2nd half, scoring three goals to open up what was a tight game at half. The Knights lead 1-0 at half in a game that had several rain delays. Kuemper had a plethora of shots on goal, wearing down the Trojans defense in the 2nd half. The defense was as sharp as the offense, keeping the Trojans from getting many shots with Michael Kasperbauer having 1 save.
Fletch Badding had two of the Knights goals with Ethan Fitzhenry and Brock Badding both scoring a goal.
The Knights improve to 7-8 on the season and will travel to East Sac on Saturday with the game at 9:00 since the girls game has been canceled.
