Carroll fell to conference leader North Polk on the road on Tuesday night, falling 10-0 with around 26:00 left in the 2nd half. The Comets built a 9-0 lead on Carroll in the 1st half, scoring a pair of goals off penalties in the box that they capitalized on. Amanda Wardell played well for the Tigers, helping solidify their defense and Azaya Martinez continues to play extremely well and work really hard in the center middle position. Carroll didn’t get any shots on goal but Paige Potthoff and Jersey Sporrer did a nice job getting the ball up top a couple times. North Polk ended the game with a goal in the 2nd half.
The loss drops Carroll to 1-14 on the season. They travel to Winterset on Thursday.
