Carroll did a nice job on offense on Thursday, doing a good job of playing the ball and finding space. It was one of those games that they struggled to get shots into the back of the net. The Tigers were in the game all night, trailing 2-0 at half, though the defense had some struggles in the 1st half. Sadie Kelly played well in the 2nd half on the defensive end, using her speed to limit the chances Denison Schleswig was able to get. The defense showed growth in the 2nd half but the Monarchs were able to add three goals for the win. Carroll struck in the 2nd half when Paige Potthoff found Jersey Sporrer, who found the back of the net. The Tigers had 10 shots on goal, led by Paige Potthoff with 4 and Azaya Martinez and Jersey Sporrer both with 2 shots on goal. Marin Overmohle finished the night with 16 saves.
Carroll heads to North Polk on Tuesday.

The Raiders struck early with Hannah Pudenz putting the Raiders up 1-0, around 2:00 into the game. Kenna Meyer added a second quick goal for East Sac, scoring 6:00 later. East Sac made that lead hold up with an outstanding defensive effort, limiting the shots on goal by Fort Dodge. Denae Thayer pitched a shut-out, finishing with 5 saves. Her defense in front of her was really strong, limiting the Dodgers chances. The offense didn’t score the rest of the night but finished with 10 shots on goal, led by 4 from Kenna Meyer and 2 shots each from Hannah Pudenz and Chloe Bieret. Meyer and Pudenz had goals with Sarah Bontrager picking up an assist.
The Raiders improved to 6-4 and will head to Harlan on Friday.
