Kuemper At Hawkeye 10 Conference At Denison
Julia Craig and Charlotte Schwabe won their opening-round match 8-5 before knocking off the #2 seed 8-5 to advance to the finals. Craig and Schwabe captured a conference championship by knocking off Liv Allelly and Addisyn McNeil of Lewis Central 8-6.
Ella Schwarte of Kuemper advanced into the semifinals with an 8-3 win in her opening match. Schwarte is seeded 5th and faced the top seed in Abby Gutierrez of Denison Schleswig in the #2 singles finals. Schwarte won 9-7 to finish with a conference title.
Kaylie Simons, playing as the #1 singles for the Knights, won her opening match 8-2 but fell in the quarterfinals to top-seeded Merced Ramirez of Red Oak, losing 8-3. Simons advanced in the consolation bracket with an 8-1 win and won her fifth-place match 8-0.
Sophia Tidgren and Brooke Rohe of Kuemper advanced in the quarterfinals with an 8-1 win but fell to the 4th seed Georgie Bohnet and Mari Valdivia of St Albert in the semifinals. They lost their third-place match to Lexi Opheim and Mallory Kjeldgaard of Lewis Central 8-3.
