Kuemper At Glenwood

Kuemper struggled on Tuesday against 4th ranked Glenwood, allowing 5 goals in the 1st half on their way to a 6-0 loss. The Knights settled in better defensively in the 2nd half, limiting Glenwood’s shots, holding them to 1 goal. The Kuemper offensive had a tough time penetrating against the Rams defense, taking 3 shots on goal. Michael Kasperbauer had 11 saves and Carson Kanne, Tommy Fitzsimmons and Fletch Badding all had 1 shot on goal.

The loss drops Kuemper to 4-5 overall. They head to Wall Lake on Friday.

Carroll At Boone

Carroll struck quickly, taking a 1-0 lead with 24:15 left in the 1st half on a nifty pass from Elias Villanueva to Landon Petersen who found the back of the net. Boone bounced back quickly, scoring with 21:11 left in the 1st half to tie the game. The Toreadors took advantage of a Tiger mishap to set up their goal.

Carroll missed some chances to take control of the game in the 2nd half, allowing Boone to get too many scoring opportunities and the Toreadors were able to take advantage. They scored 0:15 into the half to go ahead 2-1. It stayed that way until very late in the half when Boone scored the insurance goal with 0:54 left.

Tanner Heithoff had a strong night with 20 saves with Landon Petersen scoring the Tigers goal and Elias Villanueva having an assist.

Carroll falls to 2-6 and prepares to host East Sac on Thursday.
