Girls Track Results For Tuesday, April 23rd

Kuemper at Madrid

The Kuemper Knights competed in Madrid Tuesday with two events, taking home first-place finishes. Kuemper was fantastic at the field events in Madrid. Ellie Sibbel swept the shot put and discus, finishing in first place for both. Sibbel threw 108-10 in the discus, beating second place by eight feet. Sibbel, in the shot put, finished with a throw of 37-02. Morgan Masching finished in second in the long jump with a 15-09.50. Elsa Tiefenthaler finished in second in the long jump, clearing 4-08. As a team, Kuemper came in fifth out of eight teams with a score of 72. The Knights are back in action on Friday at South Central Calhoun.

Ar-We-Va, Coon Rapids-Bayard, IKM-Manning, Paton Churdan at Audubon

Ar-We-Va, Coon Rapids-Bayard, IKM-Manning, Paton Churdan, and Audubon competed in girls’ track Tuesday with seven events taking home a first-place finish. In the team standings, IKM-Manning finished in fourth, finishing with 89 team points. The Audubon Wheelers finished in fifth with 76.5 points, CRB was ninth with 43.5, and Ar-We-Va finished in 11th with 11 points. Raegan Garrison of IKM-Manning had a fantastic meet, finishing in first place in the 1500-meter run with a time of 5:25.11 which is a new PR. Audubon found success in the relays. The Wheelers sprint medley team finished in first place on Tuesday. Mattie Nielsen, Michelle Brooks, Taryn Petersen, and Kadence Brannan-Sporrer ran a time of 1:56.34. The Wheelers also picked up a first-place finish in the 4×400 and distance medley. Lauren Cook ran excellent for the Crusaders, finishing in fourth place in the open 100 and 5th in the open 200. Gabby Hundling finished in 4th for the Ar-We-Va Rockets in the 1500 meter run with a time of 5:55.04. For the Paton Churdan Rockets, Alivya Smith continues to throw well, finishing in tenth place in the discus with a throw of 80-09.

Glidden-Ralston at Woodward-Granger

The Glidden-Ralston Wildcats competed at Woodward-Granger Tuesday, finishing in 6th place and a handful of top-three finishes. In the open 400, Allison Snyder took home third place with a run of 1:15.04. Snyder also took home fourth place in the 800. Tiela Janssen finished in third place in the 400 hurdles for the Wildcats, running a time of 1:18.61. The Wildcats are back in action on Thursday at ACGC.

South Central Calhoun and East Sac County at OABCIG

Eight events took home first place between South Central Calhoun and East Sac County as they competed at OABCIG Tuesday. In the field events, Tristin Gorden of South Central Calhoun took home first place for the Titans with a throw of 38-05. Iris Melody also won an individual event for the Titans, winning the 3000-meter run with a time of 11:48.14. Chloe Judisch took home first-place finishes in the 400 and the 1500-meter run. For East Sac County, Olivya Mack won 400 hurdles in 1:15.66. The Titans also won the 4×100 and the 4×400. In the field events, Lilly Lode finished second in the long jump with a jump of 12-10.75.

Carroll At Missouri Valley 

Carroll had a really strong performance in the throwing events and in relays, helping them finish in 5th place with 77-points. They won a pair of relays and Emma Kuhlmann added another Shot Put title. Carroll had three individuals finish in the top 3 and two more in the top 5. Their relays were strong with three in the top 3 and 3 more in the top 5. 

Emma Kuhlmann won the Shot Put, throwing a 39-08.00. She added a 3rd place in the Discus. Carroll won the Sprint Medley in 1:58.67 with Libby Perkins, Brenna Goins, Marasyn Wittrock and Averi Burke. They added a title in the 4×400 with Marasyn Wittrock, Averi Burke, Katelyn Aden and Marie Dea. They ran a 4:12.11. Autumn Fortner took 2nd in the 100 Hurdles and the Distance Medley was 2nd with Autumn Fortner, Brenna Goins, Averi Burke, and Marie Dea.
