The Kuemper Knights pick up a big rivalry win on Monday against Carroll. Kuemper came out and scored on their first opportunity on offense as they scored within the first 30 seconds of the game to make it 1-0. Carroll controlled the ball for the first part of the first half, but Kuemper was able to capitalize on minimal opportunities. At the 32:30 mark in the first half, Kuemper would extend their lead to 2-0. The Knights would extend their lead to 3-0 with just over ten minutes left in the first half. Kuemper would keep Carroll scoreless the rest of the half and take a 3-0 lead at the half. Cierra Pudenz was fantastic for the Knights on the offensive end. Marin Overmohle was excellent in goal for Carroll, but in the second half had to face a lot of shots by Kuemper. Pudenz scored one goal in the first half, then added three more in the second half. Kuemper would go on to win 7-0 over Carroll. The Tigers dropped their seventh straight game to fall to 1-9 on the season. Kuemper wins their third straight game and evens their record at 4-4. The Knights are back in action on Tuesday against Glenwood. Carroll returns to the pitch on Tuesday against Boone.

East Sac County at Atlantic

The East Sac County Raiders had to battle harsh conditions Monday but walked away with a shutout victory over Atlantic. Five minutes into the game, Hannah Pudenz found Kenna Meyer open for a goal to give the Raiders the early 1-0 lead. The Raiders battled the wind the rest of the half and took a 1-0 lead going into the half. The Raiders defense was strong all night, holding Atlantic to no shots during the game. The Raiders extended their lead late in the second half as Kenna Meyer found the goal again to make the score 2-0. Chloe Bieret got in on the score with 1:41 left in the game to give the Raiders a 3-0 win. Kenna Meyer had two goals for the Raiders. With the win, ESC improves to 4-4 on the season. The Raiders are back in action on Thursday against Carroll.
