Brincks Exteriors Sports Report: Eight Area Girls Track Teams Competed At 4 Meets on Thursday

Kuemper Catholic and Carroll High At Tiger Relays

Carroll and Kuemper competed well on a windy, chilly night against a strong field. Carroll took 4th place with 71-points and Kuemper finished 6th with 52-points. The Tigers had one champion along with four individual events place in the top 3. Two more Tigers finished in the top 5 individually. Carroll added four relays in the top 3 and two more in the top 5. Kuemper had four individuals in the top 3 and four more in the top 5. They added a relay in the top 3. Gilbert won the team title with 137-points, followed by Atlantic with 109-points and Boone with 79-points.

Emma Kuhlmann continues her dominance of the Shot Put, winning the title for the Tigers with a 40-03.50. She was the only champion for the local area. Olivia Rowedder was 2nd in the Discus, Autumn Fortner was 2nd in the 100 Hurdles and 3rd in the 400 Hurdles. Carroll was 3rd in the Sprint Medley with Libby Perkins, Brenna Goins, Aubrie Drake and Marasyn Wittrock. Autumn Fortner, Abby Neppel, Averi Burke and Olivia Rowedder were 3rd in the Shuttle Hurdle. Carroll was 3rd in the Distance Medley with Phillipine Hariau, Autumn Fortner, Averi Burke and Kaci Wiederien. They added a 3rd in the 4×400 with Averi Burke, Aubrie Drake, Marasyn Wittrock and Kaci Wiederien.

Ellie Sibbel had a 2nd place finish for the Knights in the Shot Put, Morgan Masching was 3rd in the Long Jump, Shelby Greving ran well, taking 2nd in the 3000 Meters and Madie Domer was 2nd in the 400 Meters, setting a new personal best. Kuemper added a 2nd place in the 4×800 with Addie Davis, Kamryn Wendl, Madeline Segebart and Charlotte Hackfort.

Ar-We-Va, East Sac and IKM-Manning At OABCIG

IKM-Manning had a pair of relays win, helping them finish in 5th place with 66-points. East Sac had three events place, taking 7th with 13-points and Ar-We-Va had three events place, scoring 12-points, finishing in 8th place. The Wolves finished with two individuals in the top 3 and three more in the top 5. They added four relays in the top 3 and three more in the top 5. East Sac had an individual in the top 3 and two relays in the top 5. Ar-We-Va had two individuals in the top 5 and one relay in the top 5.

The Wolves won the Distance Medley, running a 4:49.01 with Grace Carroll, Abby Neilheisel, Laynie Gawley and Addisyn Bandow. They added a championship in the 4×400 in 4:40.07 with Karlee Arp, Laynie Gawley, Addisyn Bandow and Katelyn Bandow. Raegan Garrison was 2nd in the 3000 Meters and Caylie Rasmussen was 3rd in the 100 Meters. The Wolves took 2nd in the 4×800 with Taylor Beckendorf, Karlee Arp, Alikxa McGinn and Addisyn Bandow. Abby Neiheisel, Grace Carroll, Anna Stangl and Abby Wanser were 3rd in the Shuttle Hurdle.

Olivya Mack led the Raiders, taking 3rd in the 400 Hurdles. The Raiders were also 5th in the Shuttle Hurdle with Olivya Mack, Brooklyn Martin, Tori Hutchinson and Madison Meister. They took 5th in the 4×100 with Emma Kischer, Lilly Lode, Katelyn Schmitt and Madison Meister.

Gabby Hundling was 5th for Ar-We-Va in the 100 Meters and 4th in the 800 Meters. The Rockets finished 4th in the Shuttle Hurdle with Gabby Hundling, Noelia Gonzalez, Morgan Berg and Amber Ragaller.

Glidden Ralston and Paton Churdan At West Central Valley

Glidden Ralston had four individuals finish in the top 10 and one relay while Paton Churdan had two individuals in the top 10 and two relays in the top 10.

Tiela Janssen took 8th for the Wildcats in the 400 Hurdles and Long Jump. Allison Snyder added an 8th place in the 400 Meters and 10th in the 800 Meters. The Wildcats were 1oth in the Sprint Medley with Emma Ertz, Bre Hartwigsen, Tiela Janssen and Allison Snyder.

Alivya Smith was 8th in the Discus for Paton Churdan and Kaliyah Minnhen took 10th in the 200 Meters. The Rockets were 9th in the Distance Medley with Maggie Reed, Ella Tasler, Kaliyah Minnehan and Shianne Teed. They were 10th in the 4×200 with Maggie Reed, Bridget Hobbs, Cat Hobbs and Kaliyan Minnehan.

Audubon At Southwest Valley

Audubon collected four top 3 finishes in individual events and four more that finished in the top 5 on a balanced night for the Wheelers. They had two relays in the op 3 and one more in the top 5. The Wheelers scored 70-points, tying Southwest Valley for 3rd place. Griswold edged Red Oak 81-80 to win a meet that had five teams within 12-points of 1st place.

Jaelynn Petersen had the highest individual performance taking 2nd place in the High Jump. The Wheelers had three 3rd place finishes with Taryn Petersen in the 400 Hurdles, Michelle Wilson in the 3000 Meters and Kadence Brannan-Sporrer in the 1500 Meters. The Wheelers took 2nd in the Sprint Medley with Anna Larsen, Michelle Brooks, Taryn Petersen and Kadence Brannan-Sporrer. The Wheelers added a 2nd place in the 4×100 with Addie Hocker, Michelle Brooks, Anna Larsen and Jaelynn Petersen.
