Boys Track Results For Thursday, April 18th

Kuemper and Carroll at the Tiger Relays

Both Kuemper and Carroll competed at the Tiger Relays on Thursday, with four events taking home first place. In the field events, Evan Adams continued his dominance in the discus, taking home first place with a throw of 170-09. In the long jump, Ben Gerken of Kuemper finished up in first place with a jump of 20-08. Carroll finished in first place in the 4×800 for the first time in over ten years. Evan Schaefer, Dayton Wiederien, Blake Molinsky, and Ryan North ran a time of 8:41.78. Individual Ryan North picked up a first-place finish in the 1600-meter run for the Tigers with a run of 4:38.90. In the team standings, Kuemper finished in third with 66 points, closely followed by Carroll with 62 points. The Knights are back in action on Tuesday at Madrid. Carroll is back in action on Tuesday at Manson NW Webster.

Ar-We-Va, East Sac County and IKM-Manning at OABCIG

Seven events took home first place between Ar-We-Va, East Sac County, and IKM-Manning Thursday at OABCIG. In the team standings, IKM-Manning finished first with 131 points. The Raiders finished in fourth with 83 team points, and Ar-We-Va was 7th with 27 points. In the high jump, Ross Kusel of IKM-Manning finished in first place with a jump of 6-03. Wyatt Ragaller had a fantastic meet, going in first in the long jump and the 400 hurdles. Ragaller finished with a jump of 20-06 in the long jump and ran a 1:01.19 in the hurdles; for East Sac County, Parker Engel finished in first place in the 3200 meters run with a run of 10:27.43. Individual Abe Polzien picked up a first-place finish in the 400-meter dash for the Wolves with a run of 54.94. The IKM-Manning 4×800 team continued to dominate as they finished in first place. Lane Sams, Abe Polzien, Ben Ramsey, and Isaac Blankman ran a time of 8:56.97.

Glidden-Ralston and Paton Churdan at West Central Valley

The Glidden-Ralston Wildcats competed Thursday at West Central Valley and walked away with 13 team points. Jonathan Bergmeier finished third in the 110 hurdles, running a 16.49. Bergmeier also finished fifth in the 400 hurdles, running a 1:03.15. For Paton Churdan, Phoenix Hartman finished tenth in the 200-meter dash, running a 24.50.

Audubon Boys At Southwest Valley 

 

Audubon had a strong night with four championships, one individual and three relays. The Wheelers scored 69-points, taking 3rd place behind Shenandoah with 136-points and Lenox with 85-points. They finished the night with two individuals in the top 2 and three more in the top 5. Audubon had five relays in the top 3. 

Ezekiel Konkler won the 800 Meters in 2:08.40. Eli Deist took 3rd in the 3200 Meters. The Wheelers won the Sprint Medley in 1:40.92 with Jack Stanerson, Logan Stetzel, Mason Steckler and Ezekiel Konkler.  Aaron Olsen, Ezekiel Konkler, Adam Obrecht and Brody Schultes won the 4×400 in 3:38.26 and they won the Distance Medley with Mason Steckler, Aaron Olsen, Brody Scultes and Ezekiel Konkler in 4:04.85. The Wheelers grabbed 2nd in the Shuttle Hurdle with Aaron Olsen, Mason Steckler, Brody Schultes and Gabe Jensen. The 4×800 was 3rd with Alex Henkle, Brody Beane, Eli Deist and Omar Sallak.
