Boys Golf Results For Thursday, April 18th

Pocahontas Area at East Sac County

The East Sac County Raiders pick up a win at home Thursday, beating Pocahontas Area. The Raiders had five players finish with a score in the 40s. The medalist at the meet was Nick Erichson of Pocahontas Area, with a 41. Jack Gullett was the runner-up for East Sac County with a round of 43. Bradyn Burns and Sam Julian both shot a 44 or the Raiders. Zach Jacobsen finished with a round of 48 for ESC. As a team, East Sac County ended with a score of 179. The Raiders edged Pocahontas Area, which finished with a team score of 185. The Raiders are back in action on Monday against Southeast Valley.

Harlan at Kuemper

The Kuemper Knights continue to play great at the halfway point in the golf season, as they picked up a win over Harlan on Thursday. Maverick Schwabe was the medalist for the Knights, shooting a 35. Kuemper’s Kayden Schon was the runner-up, finishing with a round of 38. As a team, the Knights shot 153, which was 15 shots better than Harlan’s score of 168. Dawson Billmeier shot a 39 for the Knights. Braxton Vonnahme and Carter Putney had the fourth-best score for the Knights with a 41. Kuemper is back in action on Monday at Denison-Schleswig.

The IKM-Manning Wolves fall on the road to Underwood despite both teams finishing with the same score. The team results came down to the sixth player scorecard. Both teams finished with a 198 in the team standings. The Medalist was Danny Stein of Underwood, who shot a round of 42. Miles Nuzback of IKM-Manning was the runner-up with a 45. Josh Walker shot the second-lowest score for the Wolves with a 47. Devyn Sander shot a 52 for the Wolves, which was good for fifth overall at the meet. Ashton Ahrenholtz had the fourth-lowest score for IKM-Manning, with a 54. The Wolves are back in action next Friday against Tri-Center.

The Audubon Wheelers played well against a good Missouri Valley team but unfortunately fell on the road. As a team, the Wheeler shot a 169. Missouri Valley slightly edged Audubon with a team score of 162. The medalist was Jackson Tennis from Missouri Valley, with a score of 37. Missouri Valleys Evan White was the runner-up with a 39. Edward Miller of Audubon also shot a 39, but he finished third overall at the meet due to a tiebreaker. Henry Burr recorded the second-lowest score for the Wheelers with a 40. Oliver Diest shot a round of 42, which was third on the Audubon team. Sully McClain had the fourth-lowest score for Audubon, with a 48. Audubon is back in action on Friday against Treynor.

South Central Calhoun at West Bend-Mallard 

The South Central Calhoun Titans pick up a win over Wes Bend-Mallard Thursday with three players shooting in the 40s. As a team, the Titans finished with a score of 178, which was good for first place. West Bend-Mallard shot a 201 as a team. Charlie Nattress of South Central Calhoun was the meet medalist with a 42. Caleb Gaffney finished in second for the Titans with a 44. Caleb Juhl was third on the team with a round of 45. Noah Hendricks finished with the fourth-lowest score for SCC with a 47. The Titans are back in action on Monday against Pocahontas Area.
