Boys Golf Results For Friday, April 12th

Kuemper at Lake Panorama

The Kuemper Knights golfed excellently at a challenging course and against good competition Friday, finishing second at Lake Panorama. All three teams were separated by one stroke. Panorama and Kuemper finished with a team score of 167, but due to a tie-breaker, the Knights finished in second. Webster City was in third place with a team score of 168. Maddox Hammerstrom of Panorama was the meets medalist, golfing a round of 37. Maverick Schwabe of Kuemper was runner-up, finishing with a round of 37. Due to a tie-breaker, Schwabe finished second. Jack Lenz had the second-lowest score for the Knights with a 42. Dawson Billmeier was close behind with a 43. In total, Kuemper had one golfer finish in the high 30’s, four in the 40’s, and one in the low 50’s. Kuemper is back in action on Monday at the Spencer tournament.

IKM-Manning at Audubon

The Audubon Wheelers won head-to-head over IKM-Manning Thursday in boys’ golf action. The Wheelers swept the medalist and the runner-up medalist. Evan Alt shot a round of 36, which was good for Medalist for Audubon. Oliver Diest was the runner-up for the Wheelers with a round of 39. As a team, Audubon finished with a 161. For IKM-Manning, they finished with a team score of 194. Josh Walker finished with a 44 for the Wolves which was first on the team. Karsyn Lorenzen had the second-lowest score for IKM-Manning at 48. Miles Nuzback closely followed with a 49. Audubon is back in action on Thursday against Missouri Valley. IKM-Manning returns to the course on Saturday to host their own tournament.

South Central Calhoun at St. Edmond

On Friday, the South Central Calhoun Titans fall on the road at a dual against St. Edmond. St. Edmond, as a team, shot 174 at the meet. Caleb Gaffney of South Central Calhoun was the medalist at the meet. Gaffney finished with a round of 41. The runner-up medalist was Jack McElroy of St. Edmond, who shot a 41 as well. Noah Hendricks finished with a 44 for the Titans, which was second on the team. Hendricks’ round was also good for fourth place at the meet. As a team, South Central Calhoun shot an 181. Charlie Nattress and Caleb Juhl both shot a 48 for SCC. The Titans are back in action on Saturday at the Greene County tournament.
