Winterset and Bondurant Farrar At Carroll At Country Club

It was a windy day at the Country Club and Carroll had all six golfers finish in the 40’s. They took 2nd place, shooting a 172, seven strokes behind Winterset, which won the meet with a 165. Bondurant Farrar added a 180. Luke Linde of Winterset earned Medalist honors with a 34 while Hudson McIntosh of Bondurant Farrar won Runner-Up Medalist honors with a 36. Carroll was led by Will Schultes and Moyer Olberding both shot 42’s with Stone Sibenaller just a stroke behind with a 43. Wade Ragaller and Wyatt Ragaller both finished with 45’s.
The Tigers head to Spencer on Monday for the Spencer Tournament.

Coon Rapids Bayard was edged for 8th place by Earlham on the 5th player scorecard at a tough tournament played at Jester Park on Thursday. The Crusaders finished 9th with a 366 with all four of their scoring players shooting under 100. Panorama edged Treynor for the title, winning 330 to 331. Des Moines Christian also moved ahead of Greene County on the 5th player scorecard. Ethan Chambers of Treynor was the Medalist, shooting a 70 with Evan Powell of Panorama taking 2nd place with a 71. Will Lathan of Des Moines Christian rounded out the top 3, shooting an 81.
The Crusaders were led by Max Shirbroun, shooting an 84 with Gavin Heiderscheit hitting an 86, Logan Kenyon a 97 and Cole Cretsinger a 99.
Coon Rapids Bayard heads to Greene County Tournament on Saturday, being played at Jefferson Community Golf Course and The Hills Golf Course.

South Central Calhoun fell in a tight match at Manson NW Webster on Thursday. The Cougars finished with a 172, edging the Titans, which shot a 178. South Central Calhoun had their five low scores in the 40’s with Caleb Gaffney leading the way with a 40, followed by Caleb Juhl a 44, Charlie Nattress a 46 and Carter Hawkins and Noah Hendricks all shot 48. Caydin Anderson of Manson NW Webster earned Medalist with a 37 with Caleb Gaffney of South Central Calhoun Runner-Up Medalist with a 40.
The Titans head to Lakeside to take on St Edmond on Friday.

The Raiders swept the medal honors and won the match on a day they had to battle wind, rain, sleet and even hail. It wasn’t ideal conditions on Thursday but the Raiders battled through to shoot a 185. They won by nine strokes over West Bend Mallard, which finished with a 194. Zach Jacobsen led a balanced Raiders attack, shooting a 43 to earn Medalist. Bradyn Burns and Jack Gullett both shot 44 with Burns finishing as Runner-Up Medalist. Chase Brockman added a 54.
East Sac is off until Thursday, April 18th when they host Pocahontas Area.
