Boys Golf Results For Friday, April 5th

AHSTW and Exira-EHK at Audubon

The Audubon Wheelers started the season off on a good note, with Edward Miller and Evan Alt picking up first- and second-place finishes on Friday. Miller and Alt took advantage of being at home and playing at a hilly course. The Wheelers came in first in the team standings by a wide margin. Audubon shot 163 as a team, followed by AHSTW in second with 185 and Exira-EHK with 214. Edward Miller was the meet medalist, finishing with a 39. Evan Alt came in second with a 40. Oliver Diest also shot a 40, but due to a tiebreaker, Alt came in second. The Wheelers return to action on Monday at Tri-Center.

Missouri Valley at IKM-Manning

The IKM-Manning Wolves struggled to open the season, shooting 207 as a team and losing to Missouri Valley on Friday. The medalist was Jackson Tennis of Missouri Valley, who shot a 36. The runner-up was Layton Maasen of Missouri Valley, who shot a 40. Josh Walker of IKM-Manning shot a 46, which was the lowest scorer for the Wolves. Most of the IKM-Manning scores came in around the 50s. Ashton Ahrenholtz shot a 52, which was second for IKM-Manning.

Carroll Boys at Greene County

The Carroll Tigers opened the golf season on the road at Greene County with multiple kids shooting in the 40s and 50s on Friday. Greene County walked away with the win as a team, shooting 164, while Carroll had 188. Both the Medalist and Runner-up came from Greene County. The medalist was Nathan Towers, who shot a 39. Jack Hansen and Landon Vote both shot a 41, which was good for second in Greene County. Will Schultes shot a team-low 43 for the Tigers. Wyatt Ragaller was second on the team with a 45. Wade Ragaller was the third Carroll Tiger to shoot in the 40s, finishing with a 49. The Tigers are back in action on Monday at Boone.
