Brincks Exteriors Sports Report: Carroll Falls, East Sac Wins in Boys Soccer Monday

Carroll wanted to pack the box on Monday against a strong passing and shooting Bondurant Farrar team that showed the ability early to score in a number of ways. Titan Cram scored at the 33:27 mark, putting the Bluejays up 1-0. James Santos scored on a 25-30 yard kick with 26.45 left in the half and Bondurant Farrar was in control. The Tigers knew they wouldn’t get a lot of shots on goal with their strategy and didn’t possess the ball much in the 1st half, controlling the ball for less than 2:00 of game time in the 1st half. The defense settled in better after the first-two goals holding the Bluejays to one goal late in the half with Titas Cram scoring with 17:07 left. Bondurant Farrar took a 3-0 lead into half.

Carroll was more aggressive on offense in the 2nd half, getting a shot on goal from Landon Peterson. They maintained possession numerous times in the 2nd half but were unable to capitalize. Titas Cram finished the scoring with 7:57 left in the game, putting the Bluejays up 4-0.

Tanner Heithoff had several nice saves, finishing with 8 for the Tigers. Landon Peterson had their lone shot on goal.

Carroll falls to 1-1 on the season and will host Greene County on Thursday.

The Raiders were aggressive in their season opener on Monday, scoring 5 goals in the 1st half and taking 20 shots with 9 on goal for the night. They were never in jeopardy in the game with Luke Wernimont and doing a nice job in goal, saving 13 shots as the Panthers tried to match the Raiders aggressiveness. East Sac added 4 goals in the 2nd half with four boys scoring at least one goal in the game.

Isaiah Aragon and Riley Aragon paced the offense with 3 goals each. Isaiah took 7 shots and finished with 3 assists. Riley had a pair of assists and took 5 shots. Sam Schmitt had 4 shots, scoring a goal and Brendyn Conn had a goal on one shot. Both Schmitt and Conn had an assist. Luke Wernimont had 13 saves.

The Raiders are 1-0 and will travel to Panorama on Thursday.
