Girls Track Results Thursday, March 28th
Ar-We-Va, Coon Rapids Bayard, IKM-Manning and Paton Churdan At Audubon Girls Early Bird
There were no team scores kept at the Audubon Early Bird on what turned out to be a great day for five area teams to open their outdoor seasons. IKM-Manning had the most events place in the top 8 with 13 individuals or relays. The Wolves had a 2nd place finish among them. Audubon had the most top 3 finishes with 3 events finishing 2nd and 1 in 3rd place. They added 2 more in the top 8. Coon Rapids Bayard had 2 events take 3rd with 3 more in the top 8. Ar-We-Va had one individual event in the top 8. Paton Churdan had a relay finish in the top 13 as their best finish.
Jaelynn Petersen led Audubon with a pair of 2nd place finishes and a 3rd place finish. She took 2nd in the High Jump at 4-10 and was part of a 2nd place 4×400 relay along with Addie Hocker, Mattie Nielsen and Kadence Brannan-Sporrer. The Distance Medley team had Petersen along with Marie Brand, Mattie Nielsen and Kadence Brannan-Sporrer. Nielsen and Brannan Sporrer did a strong job running relays. Michelle Wilson added a 2nd place for the Wheelers in the 3000 Meters.
Oriah Meiners took 2nd for the Wolves in the 200 Meters as they went 2nd and 6th in the event. The Wolves had several strong performances with the 4×800 team setting a PR with Addisyn Bandow running a great anchor leg. Taylor Beckendorf, Alikxa McGinn and Raegan Garrison were also in the relay.
Lauren Cook in the 100 Meters and Breeley Clayburg in the Shot Put gave Coon Rapids Bayard a pair of 3rd place finishes.
Gabby Hundling paced Ar-We-Va, taking 8th in the High Jump.
Paton Churdan was 13th in the Distance Medley with Shianne Teed, Maggie Reed, Kaliyah Minnehan and Ella Tasler.

Carroll At Ogden Early Bird
The Carroll Tigers finally got a meet outside as they ran at the Ogden Early Bird meet Thursday night. Out of seven teams, Carroll finished fourth with 87 points. The Tiger relay events were great to start the year, with three finishing in first place. The Carroll 4×400 relay of Marasyn Wittrock, Katelyn Aden, Averi Burke, and Marie Dea finished in first place, running a time of 4:13.03. The Tigers also finished first in the sprint medley. Carroll ran a time of 1:52 with Hannah Andersen, Libby Perkins, Marasyn Wittrock, and Marie Dea to take home first place. The distance medley was the Tiger’s third relay to take home first place. Aubrie Schmitt-Hubbard, Amelia Holt, Averi Burke, and Katelyn Aden ran a time of 4:46.92.
In individual races, Marie Dea took home a first-place finish in the 400-meter dash, running a time of 57.83. In the shot put, Emma Kuhlman finished second, throwing 36-11.50. In the discus, Olivia Rowedder finished second, throwing 109-05.50.
