Boys Golf- Top boys returning this season
Boys golf could be really strong this season with three area teams loaded with strong returning players and the other teams with at least one player that can be built around. Kuemper and Coon Rapids Bayard appear to be the strongest teams with the Knights returning their top 6 players from last season, led by Maverick Schwabe and Braxton Vonnahme. Schwabe was consistently winning honors last season and Vonnahme had one of the best freshman seasons in several years. Both players will be exceptional this season. The Crusaders have a ton of depth with eight guys that put up strong scores a year ago led by Gavin Heiderscheit who was their most consistent player. This is a team, like Kuemper, who is capable of having all six players shoot low scores and win medals at each meet. Audubon is poised for a strong season as well. The Wheelers have four strong players returning, led by Edward Miller and Jay Remsburg. Both players can shoot in the low 40’s to upper 30’s, giving the Wheelers two very low scores each round. Jack Gullett of East Sac gives the Raiders a consistent player who should be a medal contender.
