Carroll Swimming at State Swim Meet in Iowa City
The Carroll Tigers swim team qualified four individual events along with all their relays to the final at the state swim meet on Saturday in Iowa City. The Tigers started the day off by taking seventh in the 200 Medley Relay at 1:36.30, breaking a school record. Leegan Sease qualified for the finals in the 100 fly. Sease swam the fly in 52.37 seconds, which was good for 13th place. Teagen Renze finished in 9th for the Carroll Tigers in the 100 free swimming with a time of 46.99. In the Tiger’s second relay of the day, they finished in 22nd with a time of 1:31.24. Renze also qualified for the finals in the 100 back. Renze broke a school record swimming a time of 50.74 which was good for 6th place. In his second individual event, Sease finished in 14th in the 100 breast. The Tigers wrapped up the night and finished 16th in the 400 free relay, swimming a time of 3:19.76. As a team, Carroll finished in 15th place out of 36 teams that qualified for the state swim meet.
