It was a tale of two halves as Carroll came out with a lot of energy, played fast on both sides of the floor, dominated the game but left some points on the floor. Bondurant Farrar chipped away in the 3rd quarter and grabbed their first lead to close the 3rd, then pulled away in the 4th quarter, outscoring the Tigers 40-23 in the 2nd half. Carroll falls for the 5th straight game with turnovers and 2nd half struggles being a contributing factor in the losing streak.
Payton Wardell was outstanding early for Carroll, dominating the game on both ends, sparking Carroll to a 12-8 lead at the end of the 1st quarter. Wardell scored Carroll first-four points, finishing the quarter with 9 of the Tigers 12-points in the quarter. Caden Lengeling drained a three to stretch the lead to six early in the 2nd quarter. A Ryan North layup made it 19-11 for the Tigers largest lead. Bondurant Farrar cut it to 19-16 but Lengeling hit another three and Carroll went back up by 8 with back-to-back baskets by Payton Wardell. The Bluejays answered again, pulling within 28-22 before Evan Hammer had a pair of free throws to make it 33-24 Carroll at half.
Evan Hammer pushed the Carroll lead to 35-24 to start the 3rd quarter. The Tigers struggled on offense in the 3rd but held the lead until late. A Bluejay 9-0 to end the 3rd gave Bondurant Farrar their first lead at 41-40. Evan Hammer put Carroll up 42-41 to start the 4th but the game went back and forth with Bondurant Farrar taking the lead for good at 46-45. They stretched the lead to 48-45 but Stone Sibenaller hit a three to tie if for Carroll. A pair of free throws from Bondurant Farrar put them up 50-48. They scored the next six-points before Payton Wardell made it 56-50. Four more in a row by the Bluejays pushed their lead to 10 and they would hit free throws down the stretch to go up 11. Payton Wardell scored the final points with a three as the Tigers fell 64-56.
Evan Hammer led the Tigers with 18-points along with 7 rebounds. Payton Wardell added 17-points, 10 rebounds and 4 steals. Stone Sibenaller hit a pair of 3’s finishing with 8-points.
Carroll falls to 8-7 overall and 5-6 in the Raccoon River Conference. They head to Boone on Friday.

The Titans started quickly, scoring 20-points in the 1st quarter and building a 36-22 lead by half. They shot the ball well, hitting 50% from the field, though they only made 6-22 from three. The defense helped them get out and run, forcing over 20 turnovers, with 15 steals. The Titans had 17 assists on 29 made baskets, sharing the ball for the open shot. They didn’t let up in the 3rd quarter, scoring 22-points to lead by 20 heading to the final stanza.
Gavin Batta had a strong shooting night, pacing the Titans with 25-points with 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Cole Higgins had 13-points and 3 steals and Keegan Soard had 12-points with 7 rebounds. Andrew Anderson added 8-points and 6 assists.
The win moves them to 13-4 overall and 9-1 in the Twin Lakes Conference. The Titans travel to Manson NW Webster on Friday.

The Crusaders chances at a conference crown as they struggled to shoot in a road loss to Woodbine, which took a two game lead over the Crusaders in the conference race. The game was tight early as Woodbine slowly pulled away, winning all four quarters but 2-4-points. The Crusaders were 4-20 from beyond the arc and shot 28.9% from the field on 13-45 shooting. They did a decent job getting to the line, attempting 16 free throws, making 9. They had 12 assists on their 13 made baskets but had 9 turnovers and 5 steals. Even though the Crusaders struggled from the field, they trailed by 6 with 4:00 remaining. Woodbine did enough to stretch the lead over the final minutes.
Caden Oswald and Parker Hays both had 9-points to lead the Crusaders with Oswald adding 6 rebounds and 4 steals. Cal Heydon had 7 rebounds while Cade Behrens had 7-points and 6 rebounds.
The loss drops Coon Rapids Bayard to 14-4 overall and 11-3 in the Rolling Valley Conference. They have dropped two straight as they head into a tough home game on Thursday Vs ACGC.

East Sac dominated the game inside with Ryan Clair and Luke Wright combining for 40-points and 26 rebounds. The pair helped the Raiders shoot 46.4% from the field, hitting 26-56 even though they hit 4-13 from beyond the arc. The Raiders led 19-9 at the end of the 1st quarter, stretching it to 34-22 at half. Sam Julin and Caleb Eichorn both hit a big shot from deep as the Raiders held off Pocahontas in the 2nd half of a tight game. They outscored the Indians 30-29 in the 2nd half.
Ryan Clair had 22-points and 10 rebounds while Luke Wright had 18-points while pulling down 16 rebounds. Sam Julin and Caleb Eichorn both had 10-points with Eichorn adding 8 rebounds.

Ar-We-Va suffered a surprising loss on the road on Tuesday after leading most of the game, they fall in overtime in a game that featured 79 free throws. The Rockets were up 15-11 at the end of the 1st quarter and led 33-31 at half. They were never able to separate themselves from the Bulldogs, who played their best game of the season. Boyer Valley offense was consistent in the 2nd half and overtime, scoring 16-points in the 3rd and 4th quarters along with overtime. The Rockets struggled to find the hoop in overtime and late in regulation as Boyer Valley tied the game at 63 to send it to overtime. The Rockets scored only 8-points in the extra period.
Emmett Neumann had a team high 20-points with 12 rebounds while Blayne Smith added 13-points with 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Wyatt Ragaller had a double-double as well with 12-points and 13 rebounds with 4 steals added. Harley Molina added 10-points, Wade Ragaller 8-points and Tyson Von Glan had 11 rebounds.
The loss drops the Rockets to 11-7 overall and 7-7 in the Rolling Valley. They travel to LoMa on Thursday.

The Wolves trailed early 9-6 but answered with a 12-0 run to build a 18-9 lead and led 18-12 lead after the 1st quarter. IKM-Manning stretched the lead to 32-21 before Missouri Valley answered, cutting it to 36-31 at half. The Big Red got the first-four points of the 3rd quarter and trailed 36-35 but the Wolves held them off with a 6-0 spurt. Missouri Valley pulled within 44-40 but IKM-Manning stretched the lead back to 55-43 with a 6-0 run to close the 3rd quarter. The Wolves stretched the lead to 63-43 but Missouri Valley was able to hit a few late 3’s, pulling within 69-61 at the end of the game.
Ben Ramsey had a team high 23-points with Ross Kusel added 16-points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Lane Sams had 9-points and Justin Segebart added 8-points.
The Wolves have won two straight, improving to 9-8 overall and 7-7 in the Western Iowa Conference. They host Boyer Valley on Thursday.

They led 17-16 after the 1st quarter before they pushed the lead to 7-points in the 2nd quarter. Colby Wallace added a pair of 3’s in the 2nd as the Wildcats lead grew. CAM cut the lead to 30-26 at half with a couple late baskets. The Cougars used the momentum to end the 1st half as the Wildcats struggled to score. The offense was able to get good looks, but couldn’t get them to fall. They scored 1-point in the 3rd and trailed 38-31 heading into the final quarter. CAM extended their lead early in the 4th quarter to 9-points but the Wildcats defense was able to create turnovers, pulling within 6-points. They had a chance to cut it to 3 but missed a three and CAM drained a three on the other end to extend the lead to 9-points. Glidden Ralston wasn’t able to but back into the lead.
Jonathan Bergmeier had 20-points, Colby Wallace added 11-points and Charles Schon had 10-points.
The loss drops the Wildcats to 7-10 and 5-9. They entertain Madrid on Thursday.
