The Carroll Tigers started slow but held the lead going into the fourth quarter before losing at home to ADM Monday night. The game started back and forth as Carroll jumped out to a 4-2 lead. ADM would end the first quarter on a 17-5 run and would lead going to the second quarter. To start the second quarter, Stone Sibenaller went on a 5-0 run by himself to spark the Carroll offense. The Tigers would outscore ADM 15-9 in the quarter. Carroll would be down by four at 28-24 at the half. The third quarter was the best offensively for Carroll. The Tiger started the quarter on a 10-2 run to lead 34-30, causing ADM to use a timeout. Carroll outscored ADM 22-14 in the quarter. The Tigers would hold a four-point lead at 46-42 going to the fourth quarter. Lately, the fourth quarter has been a problem for Carroll. ADM opened the quarter on a 16-5 run to take a 58-51 lead in the game. Carroll cut it to 60-57 but would go on to lose 66-59.
Caden Lengeling was the leading scorer for the Tigers with 17 points. Stone Sibenaller chipped in 12 points. Ten of Sibenaller’s 12 points came in the first half. Evan Hammer had to work for every single point he scored Tuesday. Hammer chipped in 11 points for the Tigers. Hammer pulled down a team-high eight rebounds.
With the loss, Carroll falls to 8-6 on the season and 5-5 in the Raccoon River Conference. Carroll is on a four-game losing streak. The Tigers are back in action Tuesday against Bondurant-Farrar.

The Ar-We-Va Rockets continue to play great basketball down the stretch as they picked up a double-digit win over West Harrison Tuesday night. Ar-We-Va led for the whole game, as they were up at the end of each quarter. The Rocket’s offense got off to a good start, scoring 18 points in the first quarter. Ar-We-Va took an 18-11 lead going to the second quarter. West Harrison cut into the lead in the second quarter, but Ar-We-Va led 35-29 at the half. In the third quarter, Ar-We-Va’s offense produced their highest-scoring quarter with 20 points. The Rocket lead would be extended to double digits going to the fourth quarter at 55-42. Ar-We-Va would go on to win 63-53.
Blayne Smith was the Rockets leading scorer with 19 points. Emmett Neumann chipped in 13 points for Ar-We-Va. Derek Thomsen was the third Rocket player in double figures with 12 points. Neumann pulled down a team-high eight rebounds.
With the win, Ar-We-Va improves to 11-6 and 7-6 in the Rolling Valley. The Rockets are back in action on Tuesday against Boyer Valley.

IKM-Manning had a nice start, building a 26-12 lead midway through the 2nd quarter. Riverside chipped away, pulling with 29-21 at half. The Wolves stretched the lead a little midway through the 3rd, leading 33-23 but Riverside went on a run to close the quarter and IKM-Manning led 35-33 going into the 4th quarter. The teams traded baskets in the 4th quarter with the Wolves leading 56-50 before they stretched the lead with a few baskets and free throws.
Ben Ramsey had a big game with 28-points along with 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Miles Nuzback added 12-points and 8 rebounds. Ross Kusel had 9-points and 13 rebounds with 6 assists. Brock Kusel scored 7-points and Lane Sams finished with 6-points and 4 rebounds.
The win improves IKM-Manning to 8-8 overall and 6-7 in the Western Iowa Conference. They head to Missouri Valley on Tuesday.

A tight game slipped away from South Central Calhoun in the 4th quarter as they fell on the road. The two teams played well all game with South Central Calhoun up by 1 at the end of the 1st quarter. They stretched the lead to 7 at half, up 39-32. The Titans shot the ball well, hitting 46% from the field and hitting 7-18 from 3 with Cole Higgins going 4-9 and Andrew Anderson knocking in 2-3 from deep. Humboldt rallied out of the locker room, pulling within 54-53 heading into the final stanza. The Titans went cold in the 4th quarter, scoring 8-points while Humboldt scored 17-points.
Cole Higgins led the Titans offense with 23-points with 7 rebounds. Gavin Batta added 16-points with 5 assists and Andrew Anderson had 10-points. Keegan Soard paced them on the boards with 11.
The loss snaps their 12-game winning streak, dropping them to 12-4 overall. They host SE Valley on Tuesday.

On Tuesday night, the Glidden-Ralston Wildcats picked up a road win over West Central Valley. Both team’s offenses started hot as Glidden-Ralston hit five threes in the first quarter. Jonathan Bergmeier hit three of the threes. Despite the offensive output, the Wildcats would trail 20-19 going to the second quarter. The second quarter was the complete opposite, as the defense showed up. Glidden-Ralston would take a 29-27 lead going into the half. The game would continue to be back and forth in the third quarter. Colby Wallace hit a big three to give Glidden-Ralston a lead late in the quarter. Glidden-Ralston would lead by one at 38-37 going to the fourth quarter. A 5-0 run to start the quarter for the Wildcats extended their lead to six. West Central Valley battled back to make it a 53-50 game. Glidden-Ralston would go on to win 59-52.
The Wildcats hit 11 threes, which is one of their best shooting performances of the season. Jonathan Bergmeier was the Wildcats leading scorer with 23 points. Colby Wallace chipped in 11 for Glidden-Ralston.
The win improves the Wildcat’s record to 7-9 on the season. The Wildcats are back in action on Tuesday against CAM.
