Kuemper offense came out clicking again on Monday night, scoring 26-points in the 1st quarter and 51-points in the 1st half on their way to their 14th straight win. The Knights shot 57.6% from the field with 21 assists on 38 made baskets. They were 12-28 from beyond the arc with Ben Gerken hitting 3-4, Jack Badding going 5-7. That helped them build a 51-35 lead at half and they cruised to another win. Glenwood shot the ball well from inside the arc but finished 4-21 from three helping Kuemper hold them to 12-points in the 1st quarter and 13-points in the 3rd quarter.
The Knights had five guys score in double figures with Jack Badding leading the way with 17-points. Ben Gerken added 13-points and Michael Kasperbauer and Tregan Beiter both had 11-points and Carter Putney added 10-points. Jack Badding added a team high 6 assists with Carson Kanne dishing out 5 assists. Brock Badding and Hans Kraus both had 3 steals and Griffin Glynn had 2 blocked shots.
The Knights are 14-1 overall and head to Lewis Central on Friday with 1st place in the Hawkeye 10 Conference on the line.

Audubon let one slip away on Monday as Missouri Valley fought hard to snap a 16-game losing streak to the Wheelers. Audubon had an early 6-0 lead, pounding the ball inside, but turnovers, struggles from the outside and allowing too many second chance opportunities put them behind in the closing minutes. Audubon fell down by 9-points in the 3rd quarter but rallied back to take the lead twice in the 4th quarter. The Big Red did every thing they needed too with clutch 3’s, offensive rebounds and outscored the Wheelers 9-3 down the stretch. Both teams struggled from the free throw line with Audubon hitting 4-8 and Missouri Valley going 13-26.
Edward Miller scored early and Austin Christensen hit back-to-back baskets as the Wheelers led 6-0 early. Missouri Valley pulled even at 6-6 but and hoop and free throw from Austin Christensen gave the Wheelers a 9-8 lead at the end of the 1st quarter. The lead went back and forth early in the 2nd quarter. Miller and Christensen kept the Wheelers in the game but Missouri Valley edged in front 14-13 and built a 18-17 lead at half.
The game changed early in the 3rd as both offenses came out firing. Carson Wessel gave the Wheelers a 19-18 lead and Austin Christensen made it 21-18. Missouri Valley responded with a 9-0 run to grab their largest lead to that point at 27-21. Christensen scored again but Missouri Valley extended the lead to 34-25. Austin Christensen worked hard inside and Audubon pulled within 36-31 at the end of the 3rd. Aaron Olsen made it 38-33, followed by Austin Christensen pulled the Wheelers within 38-37. Carson Wessel put Audubon up 39-38 and Edward Miller gave them a 41-40 lead but a three from Dane Janssen that bounced around and went in put Missouri Valley up 44-42. They knocked down enough free throws down the stretch and Audubon scored a late 3 from Edward Miller to make it 48-45 but the Big Red made a pair of free throws to seal the deal.
Austin Christensen carried the Wheelers with 26-points and 9 rebounds while Edward Miller added 9-points and 9 rebounds. Carson Wessel had 4 assists.
The loss drops the Wheelers to 5-9 overall and 4-7 in the Western Iowa Conference. They head to Riverside on Tuesday.

Coon Rapids Bayard built a 47-39 point lead by the end of the 3rd quarter, then held off the Bulldogs, earning their 13th win this season. The Crusaders shared the ball well with 18 assists on 20 made baskets, shooting 44.4% from the field and 41.2% from three. They struggled from the line, going 12-21 but hit enough to win. Coon Rapids Bayard led 16-11 at the end of the 1st quarter and were up 33-25 at half.
Cal Heydon 9 of 16 from the field, leading the Crusaders with 26-points and 10 rebounds. Cade Behrens added 4 of 8 from three, scoring 16-points to go with 7 rebounds. Ty Heydon had a team high 7 assists with Caden Oswald adding 5 assists. Kolby Culbertson had 5 rebounds.
Coon Rapids Bayard improves to 13-2 overall and will host Exira-EHK for 1st place in the Rolling Valley on Tuesday.

Both teams struggled early as the defenses held an advantage until the final few minutes as Emmett Snyder hit a three and made a couple free throws and Mark Lensch scored on a fast break, pulling the Wildcats within 11-10. The Wildcats offense took that momentum in the 2nd quarter, getting three’s from Emmett Snyder, Colby Wallace and Charles Schon, with Schon also scoring inside, helping them build a 24-23 lead at half. The lead grew to 35-28 in the 3rd as Glidden Ralston knocked down free throws, getting the Hawkeyes in foul trouble early. The offense went cold in the 4th as West Harrison cut into the lead. The game went back and forth but the Hawkeyes held Glidden Ralston to 1-point in the final 3:00 of the game. That set up a game that came down to the buzzer with West Harrison scoring on a put back at the buzzer to win.
Charles Schon had a team high 13-points, leading a balanced attack. Lucas Christian had 9-points and Emmett Snyder and Colby Wallace both had 8-points. Wallace and Snyder both had 5 rebounds. Jonathan Bergmeier added 4 assists.
The loss drops the Wildcats to 5-7 overall and 4-6 in the Rolling Valley. They travel to Woodbine on Tuesday.

East Sac started five seniors on Monday, getting great energy, led by Brett Thayer and William Smith. They helped build a commanding lead at the end of the 1st quarter, up 23-3. Ryan Clair and Asher Lawler helped them extend the lead in the 2nd quarter as the Raiders went up 55-8 at half. Caiden Auen hit a pair of 3’s in the 2nd half and Austin Thompson added a 3 as the Raiders cruised to the win.
Ryan Clair led the Raiders with 17-points and 11 rebounds. Will Smith had 8-points and 8 rebounds, Caiden Auen had 8-points, Brett Thayer had 9-points, Caleb Eichorn had 8-points, Karter Ludwig had 7-points and Luke Wright finished with 9-points and 6 rebounds.
The win improves the Raiders to 10-3 overall and 6-2 in the TLC. They host Manson NW Webster on Tuesday.

Underwood used several big runs to pull away from the Wolves, snapping IKM-Manning 4-game win streak. The Wolves trailed 9-8 middle of the 1st quarter but Underwood closed the quarter on a 11-2 to lead 20-10. It was 22-12 early in the 2nd quarter but the Eagles had a 25-3 run and led 53-17 at half. They started the 2nd half with a 11-0 run to put the game away.
Lane Sams led the Wolves with 7-points with Ben Ramsey and Ben Langel each scoring 5-points. Ross Kusel had a team high 5 rebounds and Ben Ramsey led the team with 3 assists. Kusel added 3 steals.
