Girls Wrestling Results For Monday, January 22nd
Audubon and Carroll at East Sac County
Three area girls’ wrestling teams competed at East Sac County Monday night. The Carroll Tigers finished the highest out of the four teams, coming in second with a total of 154 points. Carroll had eight girls finish third or higher at the tournament. Sunny McGowan finished in third at 105 pounds for the Tigers. Brianna Kiger, Hailey Vogl, Averi Burke, and Emma Daniels all finished second in their respective weight classes for Carroll. The Tigers had two girls finish in first place. Julia Kanne was crowned a champion at 110 pounds, and Kloee Jones was the champion at 140 pounds.
The Audubon Wheelers had three girls finish in fourth place in their weight classes. Jordan Mulford, Laura McCarville, and Michelle Brooks all finished in fourth in their respective weight classes. The Wheelers finished 8th out of 11 teams with a total of 49 points.
East Sac County was the host school and had five girls finish on the podium. Jamie Piece was the highest finisher for the Raiders. She finished in second place at 155 pounds. Denae Thayer and Lillie Unrein finished third in their weight classes. The Raiders totaled 40 team points and finished in 9th place in the team standings.
