Boys Swimming Results Saturday, January 6th
Carroll At Johnston Invite
Carroll won two relay titles and two individual titles, helping them to another strong overall performance, taking 3rd at Johnston on Saturday afternoon. The Tigers knew they would have a hard battle with Johnston for 2nd place and nearly eclipsed them. Carroll scored 248-points while Johnston was 2nd with 252-points. Top ranked Waukee won the meet with 298-points. Carroll had four 2nd place finishes in individual events and was 2nd in the final relay.
Kyle Sunrup won the 100 Back (57.39) and Leegan Sease won the 100 Breast (1:02.68) and both were part of the championship 200 Medley Relay team, along with Ty Thomas and Teagen Renze. They swam a 1:41.80. Thomas and Sease teamed with Jacob Greving and Tristan Blair to win the 200 Free Relay in 1:33.51. The Tigers were 2nd in the 400 Free Relay with Tristan Blair, Kyle Sundrup, Jacob Greving and Teagen Renze. Renze added a 2nd in the 200 Free and 500 Free while Ty Thomas was 2nd in the 50 Free, Leegan Sease was 2nd in the 100 Free. Tristan Blair added a 3rd place in the 200 Free and Ty Thomas took 3rd in the 100 Fly.
