IKM-Manning led late in the 2nd quarter but Panorama grabbed the lead, then went on a 6-0 run to close out the 1st half. They lead grew slightly in the 3rd but a tough 4th quarter did in the Wolves as they were outscored 23-6, falling by 28-points. IKM-Manning struggled to make shots and move to find open shots on offense and defensively allowed Panorama to attack the rim before they got hot from outside in the 4th quarter. The Panthers outscored the Wolves 21-6 from deep and scored plenty of points at the rim.
Ross Kusel and Ben Ramsey scored to start the game, putting IKM-Manning up 4-0. Panorama answered with a 7-0 run and maintained the lead into the 2nd quarter. IKM-Manning held close with Ben Ramsey hitting a three to pull them within 12-9 and Ross Kusel followed them up a layup and the Wolves were down 12-11 going into the 2nd quarter. They kept the run going to start the 2nd quarter with Miles Nuzback scoring to put them up 14-12. Back-to-back baskets by Ben Ramsey pushed their lead to 20-15. Panorama answered with a 6-0 run before Nuzback put IKM-Manning up 22-21. That would be their last lead as Panorama scored to lead 23-22 and built a 33-26 lead at half.
Panorama pushed the lead in the 3rd, getting up 44-32 late in the quarter. Ben Ramsey became the only source of IKM-Manning offense, scoring six straight points helping the Wolves pull within 44-36. A Panther 5-0 run pushed the lead back to 13 and IKM-Manning struggled to recover. A Lane Sams three made it a 9-point game late in the 3rd but they trailed by 11 entering the 4th quarter. Panorama scored 10 straight to start the 4th quarter and pulled away as IKM-Manning trailed 72-46 before Brock Kusel and Davis Rasmussen scored late for the Wolves.
Ben Ramsey had a team 22-points for IKM-Manning along with 5 rebounds. Ross Kusel added 9-points and Ben Langel added 7-points as the team played better when he was on the floor before foul trouble sent him to the bench. Lane Sams had a solid game on the boards with 8 rebounds.
The Wolves start the season 0-2 and will head to Riverside on Friday.
