Girls Wrestling Results Thursday, November 30th
Audubon and Kuemper At Treynor Invitational
Audubon and Kuemper both had wrestlers do very well, placing high with the Knights claiming a championship on Thursday in Treynor. Both wrestled with low numbers, losing a chance to score team points as Missouri Valley won the tournament with 162.5-points. Audubon finished 5th with 64-points and Kuemper was 6th with 43-points. The Wheelers went 9-11 in matches wrestled with six wins by fall, a medical forfeit and two no-contests. The Knights ended the night going 8-5 in matches wrestled with seven wins by fall and a no-contest.
Laura McCarville continues to have a strong start to the season for Audubon, going 3-1 with two wins by fall, finishing in 2nd place at 125. Elena Harbour added a 2-1 night for the Wheelers, taking 2nd place at 155-pounds. She had a win by fall and a no-contest. Michelle Brooks, Rachel Rynerson and Briley Belnap all had a win by fall.
Grace Hoffman of Kuemper was the area champion, winning the 110-pound class with a pair of wins, both coming by fall. Kyra Wolterman went 3-1 at 135-pounds, taking 2nd place with two wins by fall. Sadie Smith had a pair of wins, going 2-2 at 120-pounds, taking 3rd place. She won both of her matches by fall. Kyla Wiskus added a win by fall for the Knights.
