Girls State Qualifying Cross Country Results Wednesday, October 18th
Kuemper At Winterset
Marie Dea advances to the State Cross Country meet as her outstanding season continues for the Kuemper Knights. Dea finished 11th at the State Qualifying Meet in Winterset on Wednesday. She ran a 20:37.40, helping the Knights finish 7th as a team with 189 points. Grace Berglund of Glenwood was the champion, running a 19:25.90 while Avelyn Vance of Balllard was 2nd in 19:44.00. Glenwood won the team title with 47-points, edging Ballard, which finished with 52-points. The Rams had three runners in the top 8 while Ballard had three runners in the top 9.
Julia Kanne wrapped up a strong career finishing 31st for Kuemper with Addie Davis and Shelby Greving going 57th respectively.
