Brincks Exteriors Sports Report: Kuemper Boys Cross Country Qualify Two For State

Boys State Qualifying Cross Country Results Wednesday, October 18th 

Kuemper At Winterset- Class 3A 

The Kuemper boys send two runners to the State with Jacob Greving and Ryan North both having a strong day in Winterset against a loaded field. Greving finished 9th for Kuemper, running a 17:01.50 with North finishing in 16th place with a 17:28.00. They helped Kuemper take 5th place with 117-points. Highly ranked Lewis Central and Glenwood went 1st and 2nd with the Titans collecting 39-points and Glenwood with 57-points.  The race for 2nd and 3rd was tight with Winterset in 3rd with 62-points. Ethan Eichorn of Lewis Central won the meet in 15:50.90 with the Titans having three runners in the top 6. Andrew Smith of Glenwood was 2nd in 15:57.50 as the Rams took 2nd and 3rd with four runners in the top 12.

Dayton Wiederien added a strong run, taking 25th place with Fletch Badding in 33rd and Blake Molinsky in a tie for 34th place.
