East Sac, Ar-We-Va and South Central Calhoun At OABCIG Invite

East Sac claimed another meet title, running away from the field in Ida Grove on Monday, winning with 30-points, easily ahead of MVAOCOU, who took 2nd with 61 points. The Raiders had the top two runners and four runners in the top 10. South Central Calhoun had a strong showing, taking 4th place with 126-points and Ar-We-Va had one runner and didn’t record a team score. Sioux Central, Sioux Rapids took 3rd place with 63-points in a tight race for 2nd.

Isaiah Aragon continues his strong close to the regular season, winning another meet. He ran a strong 16:45.91 to edge teammate Parker Engel, who like Aragon has won or finished 2nd in almost every meet this season. Engel ran a 16:53.17. The Raiders added a 5th place with Landon Sporrer, he ran a 17:39.98, behind Dane Gorham of Boyer Valley in 17:30.73 and Charlie Forbes of MVAOCOU, who took 4th in 17:38.31. Owen Engel gave East Sac another top 10 finish, taking 9th in 18:00.83. Redge Potts continues to set the tempo for South Central Calhoun. He finished 14th in 18:22.06. Jacob Hanson was the only runner for Ar-We-Va, finishing in 94th place.

Audubon and IKM-Manning At Western Iowa Conference Meet At Audubon

IKM-Manning had three guys in the 13 as they battled for 2nd place at the Western Iowa Conference Meet in Audubon on Monday. The Wolves finished 4th in a tight race with 73-points. Tri Center was the overall champion with three runners in the top 10. They finished with 49-points while Riverside went 2nd, 3rd and 4th while finishing in 2nd place as a team with 62-points. Missouri Valley took 3rd with 66-points, having two runners in the top 10.

Lane Sams led the area runners, taking 8th for IKM-Manning. He ran a 18:30.6. Sams was followed by Isaac Blankman, who took 11th, closing well over the final mile. Abe Polzien added a 13th place for the Wolves. Eli Deist led Audubon in 20th place.
