The South Central Calhoun Titans never trailed as they picked up a road win at Panorama and moved into second place in their district. The Titans were dominant on the ground, only needing to throw the ball seven times. SCC jumped out quickly to a 12-0 lead after one quarter. The SCC defense was excellent in the first half, pitching a shutout as they would take an 18-0 lead at halftime. Panorama adjusted to the SCC defense as they scored their first touchdown of the game in the third quarter. SCC also added a touchdown in the third and would lead 25-7 going to the fourth quarter. SCC remained the more physical team in the fourth quarter as they added two more touchdowns and would go on to win 39-13.
For the Titans, Gavin Batta only threw seven passes and completed five of them for 112 yards and a touchdown. SCC had two players go over 100 yards in the backfield, totaling 325 yards on the ground as a team. Brock Nattress was the team’s leading rusher, recording 112 yards on only 17 carries, and scored three touchdowns. Zach Trott was the game’s second-leading rusher, totaling 106 yards on the ground on 12 carries. Keegan Soard caught two passes for 70 yards and a touchdown. Charlie Nattress also caught one pass for 42 yards. Soard and Cole Higgins led the Titans in tackles with seven on defense. With the win, SCC improves to 5-2 on the season as they close out the regular season on Friday at home against Earlham.
