Ar-We-Va At CAM Tournament
Ar-We-Va played well at times but they continue to search for consistency as they fall in all three matches on Saturday at CAM. They battled hard in losses to Fremont Mills and Griswold, scoring 16-points in set one against Fremont-Mills. The Rockets fought back after an opening set loss against Riverside, falling 21-4 in the opening set, but scored 11-points in sets two. They improved as the day went on, which is a nice sign of growth for a team that entered the season with limited varsity experience.
Annalee Wittrock and Emma Leiting led the attack with 5 kills each with Amber Ragaller having 15 assists. Delaney Schurke had a consistent day in the back row, finishing with a team high 26 digs, followed by Trista Reis with 15 digs. Annalee Wittrock had a team high 3 aces.
The Rockets fell to 1-19 on the season and will travel to MVAOCOU on Monday for a triangular with Woodbine.
