Brincks Exteriors Sports Report: Kuemper and IKM-Manning Have Strong Performances

Kuemper At Atlantic Invitational 

Kuemper had a terrific night as a team, taking 2nd place against a strong field, falling only to highly ranked Winterset, who won the meet with 44 points, having three runners in the top 7. The Knights had 94 points, easily outdistancing 3rd place Clarinda with 110 points. Kuemper had two runners in the top 10 with Jacob Greving taking 9th place, running a 17:33.05 and Ryan North in 10th place with a 17:42.70. Dayton Wiederien gave Kuemper another runner in the top 25, taking 22nd place. Treyton Schaapherder of Clarinda won the meet in 16:26.00 and Kyle Wagoner of Clarinda was 2nd in 16:45.90.

Ar-We-Va, Coon Rapids Bayard and IKM-Manning At Boyer Valley 

IKM-Manning placed five runners in the top 20, helping them take 2nd place with 48 points at Boyer Valley on Thursday. The Wolves had two runners in the top 10 and four in the top 12. Coon Rapids Bayard and Ar-We-Va didn’t have enough runners for a team score but had solid showings. MVAOCOU won the team title with 38 points with Missouri Valley in 3rd with 62 points.

Lane Sams led the area runners, taking 6th for IKM-Manning, running a 18:09.0 with Camden Morris of IKM-Manning in 7th, with a 18:21.5. Isaac Blankman and Kasche Huehn of IKM-Manning were just outside of the top 10, finishing in 11th and 12th place respectively. Blankman was just over three seconds from 10th place. Landon Cook led Coon Rapids Bayard, taking 17th place and Jacob Hanson was the only Ar-We-Va runner, finishing in 60th place. Dane Gorham of Boyer Valley was the champion, running a 17:13.3 with Brodie Davis of LoMa in 2nd place in 17:35.9.
