Glidden Ralston took the lead for good on a kill from Ashlynn Tigges, putting them up 5-4 in the opening set. Ogden hung tough early as the Wildcats were finding their rhythm. The Bulldogs led 1-0 and 3-2 after Tigges had put Glidden Ralston ahead 2-1. There was three early lead changes and the ets was tied at 1, 2 and 4 before the Tigges kill, making it 5-4 was followed by an ace from Tiela Janssen. The Wildcats slowly pulled away, building a 9-5 lead on a kill by Kassidy Wenck. The teams went back and forth for a few points until Ogden cut it to 11-9. The Wildcats called timeout and took control out of the break. Lauren Hulsing had a kill, followed by a Lauren Klocke ace for a 15-10 lead. It grew to 17-10 on Ogden miscues. Ogden tried to rally, pulling within 18-13, but Kassidy Wenck had back-to-back kills, giving Glidden Ralston a 20-13 lead.
The second set was tied three times early with the last tie at 4-4. Kassidy Wenck again scored on back-to-back kills, giving the Wildcats a 6-4 lead. Addy Boell added a kill, making it 8-5. Ogden pulled within 9-8 but Wenck again got a kill, followed by a kill from Lauren Hulsing and Glidden Ralson went up 13-8. They pulled away late, after the Bulldogs got within 15-12, Ashlynn Tigges had kill, followed by a Kassidy Wenck kill and back-to-back aces from Tiela Janssen. The Wildcats took set 2, 21-11.
Ashlynn Tigges had a team high 6 kills with Kassidy Wenck adding 5 kills. Addy Boell had 15 assists while Tiela Janssen led the back row with 7 digs and 3 aces.

South Hamilton had the height advantage but Glidden Ralston didn’t let that bother them as they were the more aggressive team at the net, using the Hawks free balls to their advantage. The Wildcats only trailed once all match and that was 8-7 in set one. They quickly took the lead back at 9-8 and never trailed again. The match had four tied, with three of them in the 1st set and the other midway through set two.
Lauren Hulsing set the tempo to start the match with a kill as the Wildcats built an early 5-1 lead behind two kills from Ashlynn Tigges and one from Addy Boell. South Hamilton battled back, tying the set at 7 and 10 and taking a quick lead at 8-7. Glidden Ralston tied the set at 8 and went up 9-8, then never trailed again. A Kassidy Wenck kill made it 11-10, then Summer Toms had a kill, putting the Wildcats up 12-10. Toms added a kill, making it 14-12, then served an ace to extend the lead to 15-12. Addy Boell and Lauren Hulsing followed with kills, making it 17-12. South Hamilton chipped away, pulling within 18-16 but Ashlynn Tigges gave the momentum back to Glidden Ralston with a kill. Kassidy Wenck had back-to-back kills to end the set.
Lauren Klocke served a 4-0 run to start set 2 with a pair of aces. The Wildcats never trailed but the Hawks tied the set at 8. Lauren Hulsing gave the Wildcats the lead for good with a kill and Glidden Ralston held the lead 2-4 points the rest of the set. Addy Boell ended it with a kill and a 21-18 win.
Addy Boell led the Wildcats with 7 kills and 10 assists. Ashlynn Tigges, Kassidy Wenck and Lauren Hulsing all had 3 kills. Tiela Janssen finished with a team high 4 digs. Lauren Klocke had a team high 2 aces.

Des Moines Hoover played right into the Wildcats hands in their final match of the night as Glidden Ralston took advantage of free balls to win both sets comfortably. The Wildcats never trailed in either set though Des Moines Hoover kept set two tight until 8-8 when the Wildcats went on a 4-0 run, followed by a 6-0 run to end the set.
Lauren Klocke served a 8-0 run to start set one with a pair of aces and kills from Laruen Hulsing (2), Addy Boell (2) and Ashlynn Tigges (1). Hoover never trailed by less than 7-points the rest of the set. Most of the Wildcats points were scored on Hoover mistakes the rest of the set.
Hoover played much better in set two as the Wildcats weren’t as focused. Ashlynn Tigges started the set with a kill and kept the Wildcats in front with her second kill, making it 4-3. Addy Boell had a kill to extend the lead to 6-4 but Hoover tied it at 8-8. Lauren Hulsing had a kill, making it 9-8 and Summer Toms followed with an ace and Glidden Ralston took control. They led 15-11 when Addy Boell went back to serve and served out the match, ending it with an ace. Kassidy Wenck had a pair of kills and Summer Toms had a kill during the run.
Ashlynn Tigges had a team high 6 kills with Lauren Hulsing finishing with 4 kills. Addy Boell added 13 assists and 3 aces. Tigges and Hulsing both had a team high 2 blocks. Lauren Klocke added 3 aces.
The three wins improved Glidden Ralston to 22-3. They will host Ar-We-Va on KIKD 106.7 on Tuesday.
