Boys Cross Country Results Thursday, September 28th
Coon Rapids Bayard, South Central Calhoun, Audubon and Ar-We-Va At IKM-Manning
IKM-Manning and South Central Calhoun both had strong nights as teams while Coon Rapids Bayard, Audubon and Ar-We-Va had individuals run well but didn’t have enough runners for a team score. Woodbine claimed the team title with 40-points, holding off the host Wolves who took 2nd with 54-points. The Wolves had two runners in the top 10 and three in the top 15 with all five runners finishing in the top 18. South Central Calhoun had a pair of runners in the top 10, going 5th and 7th. The Titans took 3rd place with 71 points.
Redge Potts continues his strong season for South Central Calhoun, leading all the area runners in 5th place with a 17:57.47. Potts put in a ton of miles this summer and is healthy this season and has been the top runner all season for South Central Calhoun. Tristan Blair ran well for the Titans, taking 7th place in 18:17.38. The senior has come on strong the last couple weeks as he gears up for a run towards State.
Lane Sams paced IKM-Manning. The senior took 6th place overall in 18:13.17. He continues to be a leader for a young Wolves team and has been their top performer most races, even while participating in football as well. Camden Morris returned for IKM-Manning and finished 10th with a strong running. He ran a 18:23.52. Isaac Blankman had another strong showing, giving the Wolves solid depth. Blankman finished in 15th place, just ahead of Kasche Huehn in 17th and Abe Polzien in 18th for IKM-Manning.
Landon Cook had a strong run for Coon Rapids Bayard, finishing in 16th place. The Crusaders had four runners. Eli Deist led the Wheelers in 26th place. Audubon ran two runners. Jacob Hanson was the top runner for Ar-We-Va in 64th. He was their only runner.
