Kuemper and South Central Calhoun at Denison

South Central Calhoun came away with a second-place finish as a team in Denison, as three girls finished in the top 20 for the Titans. The Kuemper girls finished middle of the pack despite a top-five finish from Marie Dae. Individual Chloe Judish ran the fastest time of the local runners, finishing in fourth place running a time of 21:07. Marie Dae was not far behind Judish as she finished in fifth place with a time of 21:35. Lindsey Sonderman of Harlan finished in first place individually with a time of 19:58 which was 34 seconds faster than the second place finisher. Harlan also went on to win the team title with a total of 38 points. SCC came in second with a total of 103 points.

Denison’s course was filled with hills and caused problems for many runners. Iris Melody ran the second fastest time for SCC, coming in 10th with a time of 22:41. The Titans had a total of four runners finish in the top 28. For Kuemper, Marie Dae ran the fastest time, coming in fifth. Julia Kanne ran the second fastest time for Kuemper, finishing in 24th with a time of 23:34. Kuemper finished in sixth as a team with a total of 154 points. SCC finished in second with a total of 103 points.
