Coon Rapids-Bayard at CAM
After picking up their first win of the season last week, the Coon Rapids-Bayard Crusaders had their hands full with the third-ranked CAM Cougars on the road. CRB got down late in the first quarter as CAM jumped out to a 22-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. CAM added 16 more points in the second quarter and took a 38-0 lead into the locker room. The Crusaders made some halftime adjustments as they only held CAM to six points in the third quarter and trailed 44-0 in the fourth quarter. The lone CRB touchdown came in the fourth quarter as they returned a fumble for a touchdown. CAM would add another touchdown in the fourth and would go on to beat CRB 50-6.
CRB struggled to run the football, as they only totaled 26 yards as a team. Parker Hays led the ground attack with 13 yards on seven carries. Wyatt Oswald completed over 60 percent of his passes as the complete 8/12 for 67 yards. Cal Hayden continues his excellent start to the season, recording five catches for 55 yards. Defensively, Caden Oswald led the way with seven total tackles, and Ethan Bauer scored the lone CRB touchdown on a fumble recovery.
