After two close losses, the Coon Rapids-Bayard Crusaders were able to get into the win column with a blowout win over Collins-Maxwell. The Crusaders led the whole game as they came away with a 47-6 home victory. The CRB defense has been strong all year, and they continued that Friday night as they shut out Collins-Maxwell in the first quarter. The Crusaders took a 14-0 lead going into the second quarter. The CRB offense showed up even more in the second quarter as they took a 47-6 lead at the half. Both teams did not score the rest of the game as the Crusaders would come out with a 47-6 win over Collins-Maxwell.
Wyatt Oswald recorded over 200 yards of total offense for CRB. As a team, the Crusaders ran for over 240 yards. Cal Heydon was all over the field for CRB Friday night as he recorded a receiving touchdown, six tackles on defense, and record an interception.
With the win, CRB improves to 1-2. They head on the road in week four as they have a tough test against CAM.
