A tough 3rd quarter for a second straight game, dropped the Crusaders to 0-2. They built a 15-6 lead at half but were outscored 16-6 in the 3rd quarter and 6-0 in the 4th quarter. The Crusaders offense struggled getting rolling most of the game, finishing with 200-yards with 110-yards on the ground. Wyatt Oswald had 95-yards on the ground. Coon Rapids Bayard threw it for 90-yards. Meanwhile the Bolts got clicking in the pass game, throwing it 44 times for 341-yards and four touchdowns. The Crusaders did intercept one pass, returning it for a touchdown(Cal Heydon 78-yards). Baxter was able to run the ball effectively, gaining 116-yards on 30 carries. 

Coon Rapids Bayard scored touchdowns in each of the first-two quarters, getting a 2-point conversion on the second touchdown. Baxter rallied with a score in the 2nd quarter but the Crusaders were up 15-6 at half. Baxter took the lead for good in the 3rd quarter, out scoring Coon Rapids Bayard 16-6. They added a touchdown in the 4th. 

The Crusaders sit 0-2 and will play at home for the first time this season when they host 1-1 Collins Maxwell on Friday.
