Girls Cross Country Results Saturday, August 26th
Kuemper At Glenwood
The Kuemper Girls opened the season at a tough meet in Glenwood on Saturday morning, using the meet as a time trial, since all junior varsity and varsity girls were running together. The Knights finished in 5th place as a team with 125 points. Glenwood won the event with 44 points and Harlan was 2nd with 51 points, followed by Atlantic and Clarinda.
Marie Dea started her season well, finishing in 6th place with a 20:45.74 to pace the Knights. Lindsey Sonderman of Harlan was the champion, running a 18:47.49. Julia Kanner gave the Knights two girls in the top 25, taking 23rd in 23:11.36.
