The Carroll Tigers season ends Saturday night against a good DCG team. In the top of the first inning, Kloee Jones reached base on a bunt single that went just past the pitcher. However, the Tigers were unable to score. The first runs of the ball game were scored in the third inning when DCG plated five runs on three hits. The Mustangs came into the game a very good hitting team and proved that as they scored four more runs in the bottom of the fourth to take a 9-0 lead over Carroll. The Tiger’s lone run came in the top of the fifth when Emma Kuhlmann led the inning off with a single and eventually came around to score on a throwing error. Taking a 9-1 lead to the home half of the fifth, DCG scored two runs on a couple of doubles to win 11-1 over Carroll.
Carroll only recorded three hits in the game. Camry Schable took the loss in the circle, pitching four plus innings and giving up nine hits. Emma Kuhlmann, Kloee Jones, and Amanda Wardell picked up the three hits for the Tigers. Carroll wraps up the 2023 season with a 15-20 record.
