Coon Rapids Bayard scored in five of the six innings they batted in, while holding the Rockets to three hits. The Crusaders scored in the 1st inning, when Anna Hart singled and scored and Malia Clayburg siingled, driving in Hart then scored on an error of the bat of Aubrey Hofbauer. They added a pair of runs. Lydia Hofbauer walked and scored. Anna Hart singled and scored and Malia Clayburg doubled, driving in both Hofbauer and Hart. Ar-We-Va got on the board in the 4th inning. Delaney Schurke was hit-by-pitch and scored later in the inning. Coon Rapids Bayard answered with a run in the 4th and 5th innings. They blew the game open in the 6th when Malia Clayburg singled, Breeley Clayburg singled and Aubrey Hofbauer walked. Mason Mason had an RBI groundout. Malia and Breeley both scored in the inning as did Hofbauer.
The win improves Coon Rapids Bayard to 11-14 on the season. The Crusaders travel to Newell Fonda on Wednesday. Ar-We-Va ends their season at 8-11.

Glidden Ralston picks up a home win Friday night to stay alive in the class 1A playoffs. The Wildcats scored the first runs of the game in the bottom of the first inning, taking a 2-0 lead going to the second inning. Glidden-Ralston didn’t score in the second but blew the game open in the third, plating five runs and taking a 7-0 lead over St. Mary’s. The Wildcats added four more in the fourth inning and held Storm Lake St. Mary’s scoreless in the top of the fifth to win 11-0 in five innings.
Glidden-Ralston picked up six hits in the game. The Wildcats were active on the bases stealing eight. Vanessa Koehler went the distance in the circle, pitching five innings. She gave up two hits and struck out 12 St. Mary’s hitters. The Win improves Glidden-Ralston’s record to 14-7. With the win, the Wildcats advance to play GTRA at home on Wednesday.

Audubon rallied back after giving up an unearned run in the 1st inning. Mattie Nielsen and Jordan Porsch both singled. Nielsen and Porsch moved up a base on a passed ball, then Nielsen scored on a wild pitch. Alexis Obermeier walked and Addie Hocker got hit-by-pitch to load the bases. Michelle Brooks knocked in Porsch with a single followed by a walk by Payton Gust, scoring Marie Brand who was running for Obermeier. The Wheelers were up for good, leading 3-1 after the 1st inning. Mattie Nielsen and Jordan Porsch both singled again to start the 2nd inning. Kali Irlmeier pushed the lead to 5-1 with a double, scoring Nielsen and Porsch. Michelle Brooks picked up her second RBI with a single to score Irlmeier. Addie Hocker drove in Kali Irlmeier who doubled in the 4th, extending the lead to 7-1. Tri Center scored their final 2-runs in the 6th inning.
Michelle Brooks finished with a team high 3 hits to go with 2 RBI. Kali Irlmeier doubled twice, driving in a pair of runs and scored twice. Mattie Nielsen had 2 hits and scored twice, Jordan Porsch also had 2 hits and 2-runs scored. Addie Hocker added 2 hits and an RBI. Alexis Obermeier allowed no earned runs in 7 innings, striking out 12 and allowing 7 hits.
The Wheelers improved to 16-8 and will travel to Exira-EHK On Wednesday.

IKM-Manning’s season ended Friday night with a road loss to AHSTW in the class 2A Region 2 playoffs. The Wolves collected five hits in the game. Anna Stangl recorded the only extra-base hit with a double. Grace Carroll, Alikxa McGinn, Taylor Beckendorf, and Hannah McKinney also recorded hits in Friday’s loss. IKM-Manning committed two errors in the game, which led to three unearned runs. Two pitchers were used in the game for IKM-Manning. They combined to go six innings in the circle giving up nine hits and six earned runs and struck out five AHSTW hitters.
The lone IKM-Manning runs the game in the first inning and the fourth. The loss ends the Wolves’ season at 4-22.

The Raiders dominated in four innings to advance in the class 2A playoffs. South Central Calhoun had five runners on base all game, collecting one hit. The Titans got a runner on base in the top of the first inning but could not score. ESC scored the game’s first runs in the home half of the first inning, plating three runs. The inning was highlighted by a Maci Gustavson RBI single to take a 3-0 lead. SCC cut into the Raider lead by scoring a single run in the top of the second inning. Taking a 3-1 lead to the bottom, ESC blew the game open, sending 12 hitters to the plate. Gustavsen, Jen Aschinger, Kamryn Ross, Jamie Pierce, and Makenna Steiger each recorded an RBI single in the inning. ESC scored seven runs in the inning to take a 10-1 lead. ESC scored a single run in the third and fourth inning and won 13-1 in four innings against SCC.
The Titans only recorded one hit in the game off the bat of Keria Hamman. The Raiders collected 13 hits in the game. Onna Haupert struggled in the circle for SCC going three innings, giving up nine earned runs, and only striking out one ESC hitter. Gustavson went all four innings for the Raiders striking out two in the process. ESC also recorded 11 stolen bases in the game. SCC’s season comes to an end with the loss. The Titans finish with a 2-16 record. With the win, the Raiders advance to take on Kuemper on Wednesday in the Class 2A Region 3 playoffs.
