Kuemper struggled at home in a matchup of two Hawkeye Ten Conference teams. Kuemper only managed three hits in the game and never led. Atlantic scored the first runs of the by plating five runs in the top of the first inning. The Trojans added nine more in the top of the second inning and led 14-0 going to the bottom of the third. Kuemper attempted a comeback but only managed two runs in the home half of the third and would lose 14-2 at home to the Atlantic.
Kuemper used two pitchers in Tuesday’s game, and they combined to go three innings in the circle giving up six earned runs on ten Atlantic hits. The Knights recorded three hits in the game off the bats of Kaci Peter and Allison Ostrander. The loss drops Kuemper to 15-13 and 6-7 in conference play. On Tuesday night, Carroll looked impressive on the road in a match-up against two local teams. Carroll scored the first run of the game in the top of the second inning, sending ten batters to the plate to score five runs to take a 5-0 lead going to the third. Carroll would extend their lead again in the third inning to 13-0 after sending 12 batters to the plate resulting in eight runs. ESC would cut into the Tiger lead by scoring two runs to make the score 13-2 going to the top of the fourth. Carroll responded with five more runs in the top of the fourth to make the score 18-2. The Raiders were held scoreless in the bottom of the fourth, and Carroll would go on to win 18-2.
Carroll saw pitches at the plate working 12 walks and recorded 12 hits in the game. Parker Adams, Averi Burke, and Makalei Kofron all recorded two hits in the game for the Tigers. Burke and Camryn Schable went four innings in the circle for Caroll. They combined for one earned run and struck out two ESC hitters.
The Raiders recorded two hits in the game off the bats of Jen Aschinger and Kendall Quirk. The win improves Carroll’s record to 13-13. The Tigers are back in action on Wednesday at home against Bondurant-Farrar. The loss drops ESC to 6-11 on the season. IKM-Manning hit the ball well on the road but lost to a conference opponent Tuesday night. The Wolves recorded 12 hits in the game against Treynor. Grace Carroll recorded two hits in the game and drove in three runs. Alikxa McGinn, Taylor Beckendorf, Alexis Gruhn, and Laura McCarville also recorded two hits in the game. IKM-Manning committed eight errors in the game, which lead to 12 unearned runs. Ella Richards went four-plus innings, giving up 12 hits and walking three Treynor batters. Treynor beat IKM-Manning 16-6.
The loss drops IKM-Manning to 2-17 and 0-14 in Western Iowa Conference play. The Wolves are back in action on Wednesday at home against Coon-Rapids-Bayard.

The Wheelers struggled to hit on the road against a good Logan-Magnolia team Tuesday night. Logan-Magnolia struck first, scoring four runs in the bottom of the second inning. They extended their lead to 7-0 by plating an additional three runs. The Panthers would add to their lead by plating two more runs in the bottom of the fifth inning. Both teams would go scoreless the rest of the game, and Logan-Magnolia would win this Western Iowa Conference matchup 9-0.
Audubon was held to only one hit in the game, coming off the bat of Alexis Obermeier. The Wheelers committed ten errors in the matchup, which led to eight unearned runs. In the circle, Obermeier went six innings, giving up five hits and striking out five Logan-Magnolia hitters. The loss drops the Wheelers to 11-7 on the season and 8-6 in conference play. Audubon is back in action again on Thursday at IKM-Manning.
