The Knights won their third straight, collecting 9 hits, scoring 7 runs and holding Atlantic to 2 hits. Ethan Loew was sharp on the hill and the defense made a few plays behind him. Kuemper was the visiting team on the scoreboard for the first game of the doubleheader, striking first in the top of the 1st inning. They used a 2-out error and a wild pitch with Benicio Lujano scoring. Atlantic took the lead in the 2nd, scoring a pair of runs with one hit and a Kuemper error. Carter Putney triple started the Knights rally in the 3rd. He scored on a groundout by Benicio Lujano, tying the score at 2. Kuemper took the lead for good in the 4th. Logan Sibenaller walked and scored on a double by Carter Putney who scored on a double by Benicio Lujano. Atlantic scored a run in the bottom 4th, pulling within 4-3. That would be as close as they would get the rest of the game. Evan Loew doubled and Kuemper scored on an Atlantic error. They added a pair of runs in the 7th. Loew took control of the game in the 5th on the hill, getting the Trojans in order in both the 5th and 6th innings. Trevor Rial faced three batters in the 7th to end the game.
Ethan Loew went 6 innings, allowing 2 hits and 1 earned run. Carter Putney had a double, triple, scored twice and drove in a pair of runs. Ethan Loew added a pair of hits, Evan Loew doubled and scored and Benicio Lujano had a pair of doubles, 3 RBI and scored a run.

Kuemper scored 3-runs in the 1st inning, but it took a big 6-run 6th inning for them to take control of the game. Atlantic chipped away at the Knights, trailing 6-4 going into the bottom 6th. A bunt single by Logan Sibenaller put runners on 1st and 2nd and helped spark the Knights run. Benicio Lujano drove in the 1st run as the Knights used a bunt single, two sac’s, two walks a hit-by-pitch and a pair of Atlantic errors. Trevor Rial had a RBI during the run. They sent 11 batters to the plate. Koby Lampman helped Kuemper start quick with a 2-run double in the 1st inning.
Logan Sibenaller earned the win, allowing 2 hits and 2 earned runs with 10 strikeouts in 6 innings. He added one of the Knights hits with Ethan Loew having a base hit and scoring 3 runs. Koby Lampman added a double and a pair of RBI, Cooper Pottebaum doubled, driving in a run and Trevor Rial had 3 RBI.
The sweep of the doubleheader puts Kuemper on a 4-game winning streak, improving them to 16-8. They are off until Saturday when they host a tournament and play Woodbine at 10:00.

Coon Rapids Bayard dropped the opening game of the doubleheader between the top two teams in the league, giving West Harrison a half game lead in the conference. Neither team scored early with West Harrison breaking through in the 3rd with a run. The Hawkeyes extended the lead in the 4th with 4-runs. Coon Rapids Bayard got on the board with a run in the bottom 4th but West Harrison opened up the advantage with a 3-run 5th. Coon Rapids Bayard got the offense going in the 5th, scoring 5-runs to pull within 8-6. That would be as close as they got as West Harrison scored a pair of runs in both the 6th and 7th innings.
The Crusaders got an RBI single from Ty Heydon who added a sac fly for a second RBI. Jacob Estrada picked up a single. Kolby Culbertson took the loss, going 3 2/3 innings, allowing 5 hits while striking out 6.

The Crusaders took the lead in the Rolling Valley Conference, getting a dominating pitching performance from Lance Clayburg. He threw a complete game, allowing 3 hits and striking out 6. He didn’t allow the Hawkeyes extra baserunners, walking 2. Coon Rapids Bayard scored in three innings, getting 3 in the 1st inning and adding 2 insurance runs in the top 7th. Their defense was solid, not allowing West Harrison to score after the 1st inning.
Lance Clayburg added a double with an RBI while Jacob Estrada had 2 hits and drove in a run. Cal Heydon doubled, driving in a run and Parker Hays had an RBI single.
The split moves the Crusaders to 20-3 on the season and 9-1 in the conference. West Harrison sits at 16-3 and 9-2 in the league. Coon Rapids Bayard heads to Woodbine on Wednesday. They will play the Tigers after the Tigers host Ar-We-Va with the game starting around 7:30.

Audubon struggled to get the bats going, collecting 4 hits while LoMa slowly pulled away for the win. The Panthers scored a solo run in the 2nd, 3rd and 5th innings, then put the game out of reach with 4-runs in the 6th. Jay Remsburg had 2 of the Wheelers hits with Aaron Olsen and Gavin Larsen picking up the other 2 hits. Aaron Olsen took the loss, allowing 6 hits and 4 earned runs in 5 1/3 innings.
The loss drops the Wheelers to 4-14. They head to IKM-Manning on Thursday.

IKM-Manning rallied from down 4-0 and 5-3 to take a 6-5 lead after 4 innings, scoring all 6-runs over a three inning stretch. Treynor rallied back, getting 2-runs in the 5th and 1 more in the 6th and held on to win. The Wolves didn’t score over the final 3 innings, finishing the game with 11 hits. IKM-Manning had eight different players collect a hit. Zander Richards pitched well, getting hurt by a few Wolves miscues, leading to 4 unearned runs scoring.
Reed Hinners and Cooper Perdew both had a pair of hits with Hinners driving in 3-runs and Perdew scoring a run. Lane Sams also had a pair of hits. Ben Ramsey scored twice and Kasche Huehn added an RBI and scored a run. Zander Richards went 6 innings, allowing 8 hits and 4 earned runs while striking out 3.
The Wolves fall to 7-13 and will host Audubon on Thursday.
