Carroll racked up 21 hits, scoring 13-runs with every girl in the starting lineup getting at least one hit and six of the nine scoring at least a run. The Tigers scored 3 times in the 1st inning, but didn’t put the game away until the 4th. They lead 5-0 heading into the 4th, scoring 4-runs to put the game out of reach.

Four different Tigers had 3 hits with Ava Gross, Bella Lu, Olivia Rowedder and Emma Kuhlmann making up the group. Gross had a pair of RBI and scored 3 times, Lu, doubled and scored twice, Rowedder had 3 RBI and Kuhlmann added an RBI. Kloee Jones, Averi Burke and Makalei Kofron all had 2 hits with Burke scoring twice and Kofron doubling and scoring twice. Camryn Schable earned the win, going all 5 inning, holding he Cubs to 3 hits while striking out 4.

The Tigers improve to 12-12 and will host North Polk on Monday.

Kuemper At Boone

The Knights struggled at the plate while Boone swung hot bats all game long. The Toreadors racked up 16 hits, scoring in every inning but one while holding Kuemper to 5 hits. Boone scored 3 in the 1st inning and held Kuemper scoreless until the 4th. Kaci Peter reached on a fielder’s choice and scored on a single by Ellie Sibbel, pulling Kuemper within 4-1, going into the bottom 4th. Boone added a run in the 4th but blew the game open in the 5th with 4-runs. The Knights allowed 4 unearned runs.

Kaci Peter led the Knights with a pair of hits and scoring their run. Melinda Schaefer, Mylie Schaefer and Ellie Sibbel all singled with Sibbel driving in Peter. Myli Schaefer took the loss, allowing 16 hits and 7 earned runs in 6 innings. She struck out 4.

Kuemper falls to 14-11 overall going 3-3 this week. They host Shenandoah for a varsity doubleheader on Monday.

East Sac pulled away in the late innings to snap a 6-game losing streak. South Central Calhoun battled hard, playing well until a few late miscues extended innings, allowing the Raiders to put distance between them on the scoreboard. The game was tied at 4 going into the 5th. East Sac scored in the 2nd when Makenna Steiger singled and scored on a single by Gracie Snyder. South Central Calhoun answered in the bottom 2nd when Keira Hammen was hit-by-pitch and scored on an single from Mia Babcock. The teams traded runs in the 3rd with Mary Bontrager singling and scoring on a single by Jen Aschinger for East Sac and Jayci Graeve singling and scoring on a Raider error. Both teams scored 2-runs in the 4th inning with the Raiders taking advantage of a Titan error. The Titans answered in the bottom half with back-to-back singles by Onna Haupert and Gracie Hungate. Olivia Toms and Jayci Graeve earned RBI. Gracie Snyder got a 2-out single in the 5th, Anna McCollough singled, scoring Sndyer and Emersyn Mack doubled to drive in 2. The Raiders added a pair of runs in the 6th with Maci Gustavson getting on base to lead off the inning and Kami Ross reaching on an error. Gracie Snyder singled to score both and the Raiders were up 9-4. The Titans tried to rally in the 7th after going down in order in the 5th and 6th. Adlen Wheelock singled and scored on a single by Onna Haupert. The Raiders held them to 1-run, ending the game on a ground-out to Kendall Quirk at 2nd base.

Gracie Snyder paced the Raiders offense with 4 hits and 3 RBI. She scored twice. Emersyn Mack and Mary Bontrager both had 3 hits with Mack doubling and driving in 2 while Bontrager scored once. Jen Aschinger had an RBI single. Maci Gustavson earned the win, allowing 7 hits and 3 earned runs in 7 innings.

The Titans  had bases loaded with no outs in the 2nd inning, having scored a run before they loaded the bases but didn’t score. They loaded the bases in the 4th with no outs and scored 2. They stranded 8 runners on base. Onna Haupert paced the offensive attack with a pair of hits to go with an RBI and run scored. Oliva Toms, Jayci Graeve, Adlen Wheelock, Mia Babcock and Gracie Hungate all had hits with Toms, Graeve and Babcock all driving in a run. Haupert took the loss, allowing 15 hits in 7 innings with no walks and 2 hit-by-pitches.

The Raiders improve to 6-9 while South Central Calhoun falls to 1-12. The Raiders host Sioux Central on Monday and the Titans travel to Storm Lake St Mary’s on Monday.

Ar-We-Va scored 5-runs in the 1st inning helping them earn their third win of the season. The Wildcats tried to rally late, scoring 3 in the 7th but their rally fell short. Jamie Hausman singled to start the bottom 1st inning, Emma Leiting had a sacrific and Maggie Ragaller singled. Delaney Schurked singled and Morgan Berg picked up an RBI, reaching on an error. Karmine Sanchez added an RBI on a single and Sarah Melton blew the game open with a 2 RBI single. The Rockets led 9-1 heading into the 7th inning when the Wildcats offense began to click. Addy Boell was hit-by-pitch and Allison Snyder reached on an error. Vanessa Koehler tripled scoring Boell and Snyder. Koehler scored moments later on a double by Tiela Janssen.

Jamie Hausman went 4-4 with a triple, scoring twice and driving in a pair of  runs for Ar-We-Va. Maggie Ragaller and Delaney Schurke both had a pair of hits with Schurke adding 2 RBI and Ragaller scoring twice. Sarah Melton had 2 RBI while Amber Ragaller earned the win, going 7 innings, allowing 8 hits and 3 earned runs with 4 strikeouts.

Vanessa Koehler had 2 triples, driving in a pair of runs and scoring once. Tiela Janssen doubled with an RBI and Elizabeth Lloyd doubled with an RBI. Ashlynn Tigges, Addy Boell and Allison Snyder all scored a run. Vanessa Koehler took the loss, going 6 innings with 8 hits and 3 earned runs while striking out 11.

Ar-We-Va improves to 3-8 and will host Coon Rapids Bayard on KKRL on Monday. Glidden Ralston falls to 9-6 and will host West Harrison on Monday.

The game wasn’t in their grasp until late but the Crusaders earned a win on the road Friday, scoring 3-runs in the 5th and 3 more in the 7th to put the game out of reach. Anna Hart was dominant in the circle, allowing 1 hit while striking out 15 but the Crusaders, while collecting 8 hits, hadn’t been able to stretch them together and score. They broke through in the 3rd inning with a run but didn’t score again until the 5th.

Anna Hart had a team high 2 hits with a triple and a pair of runs scored. Malia Clayburg had a pair of RBI and scored twice while Aubrey Hofbauer doubled, driving in a run. Lacie Davis and Maddy Mason both had a hit and scored a run.

The win helps the Crusaders move to 3-11. They play AC/GC in the opening round of the Audubon/ACGC Tournament in Audubon on Saturday at 10:45.

IKM-Manning At Riverside- Completion of suspended game from June 1st

The Wolves trailed 9-0 heading into the 3rd when they resumed the game that had been suspended in Irwin on June 1st. Riverside scored when the game picked up, getting 3-runs in the 3rd inning. The Wolves answered with a run in the bottom half but the Bulldogs put the game away with 4-runs in the 4th. IKM-Manning punched another run in the bottom 4th, gaining some momentum going into the regular scheduled game.

Alikxa McGinn doubled and scored and Anna Stangl had a single and scored a run. Lauren Greving drove in a run.

IKM-Manning battled back in the second game, showing great resolve after falling down 5-0. The Bulldogs scored 4-runs in the 1st inning, then added a run in the 2nd. IKM-Manning got their offense going in the 3rd, highlighted by a grand slam home run from Alikxa McGinn. A pair of runs in the 4th inning gave the Wolves the lead but Riverside responded with 3-runs in the bottom 4th. They extended the lead to 3 with a run in the 5th. IKM-Manning scored a run in the 6th but their rally fell short.

Alikxa McGinn drove in 4-runs with a home run while Anna Stangl added a pair of hits, scored a run and drove in a run. Grace Carroll had a double, driving in a run and Karlee Arp scored a pair of runs. Ella Richards took the loss, going 6 innings with 7 hits and 4 earned runs.

The Wolves fall to 2-14 and will host LoMa on Monday.
