Carroll advanced to the championship game with a huge win over a very good Spartan ballclub. Ava Gross hit a solo home run in the 2nd inning and Averi Burke and the Tigers defense made it hold up. Carroll edged Collins Maxwell 5-4 in hits as Averi Burke went all 7 innings, allowing 4 hits with 1 strikeout. The defense didn’t make any errors and Burke only walked one. Parker Adams paced the Tigers with 2 hits and Ava Gross, Kloee Jones and Averi Burke all had hits with Gross hitting a solo home run.

Carroll had a tough 2nd innings, allowing 4-runs on 4 errors. They settled in well afterwards, shutting down the Mustangs until the 7th when they scored a run. The Tigers offense heated up in the 4th, scoring a pair of runs. They took the lead for good with 5-runs in the 5th inning and 4 more in the 6th inning.
Ava Gross had a huge game with two home runs and 4 RBI. She scored 3 times. Parker Adams continues to swing a great bat, with a pair of hits. Makalei Kofron added a pair of hits, scoring once and driving in a run and Emma Kuhlmann went deep. Camryn Schable earned the win, going all 7 innings, allowing 10 hits and 1 earned run with 4 strikeouts.

The Raiders had the game slip through their fingers late, giving up 7-runs in the 6th inning, after leading 3-1 entering the bottom 6th. East Sac got a run in the 1st inning when Emersyn Mack singled and scored with hits by Mary Bontrager and Kamryn Ross. They finished the game with 11 hits but didn’t score again until the 6th. Jamie Pierce was hit-by-pitch, then Makenna Steiger, Anna McCollough and Gracie Snyder had base hits, with Pierce and Steiger scoring. The Raiders outhit the Falcons 11 to 8 but allowed 5 unearned runs.
Makenna Steiger had a team high 3 hits with Jamie Pierce added a pair of hits. Both scored a run. Emersyn Mack scored the Raiders other run, adding a hit. Maci Gustavson took the loss, going 6 innings, allowing 8 hits and 3 earned runs with 3 strikeouts.

The Raiders dropped their final game of the tournament, losing in 4 innings to Roland Story. East Sac was out hit 11 to 3 with Jen Aschinger having 2 of their hits, including a double. She scored their lone run, getting driven in by Jamie Pierce, who had their other hit. Aschinger doubled, then scored on a single by Pierce with one out in the 2nd inning. Makenna Stetiger took the loss, allowing 4 hits and 3 earned runs in 2 innings.
The Raiders two losses drops them to 5-6. They head to Newell Fonda on Monday.

Glidden Ralston opened the scoring with a run in the 1st but the Knights struck for 3 in the 4th, adding 3 more in the 7th inning taking the first game of the doubleheader in a well played game by both teams. Vanessa Koehler singled to open the game, scoring on a groundout by Elizabeth Lloyd. The Wildcats left a pair of runners on base in the 4th and trailed 3-1. The Knights left runners on 2nd base in the 1st and 3rd innings but broke through in the top 4th. Kaylie Diercksen singled, Ellie Sibbel bunted her to 2nd base. Diercksen tied the game on a wild pitch and Kuemper took the lead for good after Myli Schaefer singled, Morgan Masching entered the game as a courtesy runner, stealing 2nd base and scoring on a single by Allison Ostrander. Ostrander stole 2nd and scored on a wild pitch. Kuemper added a run in the 6th on a Ellie Sibbel single and a double by Myli Schaefer. The Wildcats pulled within 2 in the bottom 6th when Jaelyn Subbert was hit-by-pitch and scored on a single by Ashlynn Tigges. Kuemper put the game away in the 7th. Melinda Schaefer, Kaci Peter and Kaylie Diercksen all singled to start the inning. Diercksen drove in Schaefer and Peter. Charlotte Schwabe ran for Diercksen and scored on a single by Myli Schaefer.

Kuemper used the momentum from the end of the first game and came out aggressive, scoring a pair of runs in the 1st inning, then adding 7 runs, batting 10 girls in the 2nd inning. Glidden Ralston struggled against Ally Sommerfield, not getting a base runner until the 4th inning as Sommerfield struck out the final 3 batters she faced in the 3rd. The Wildcats scored in the 4th but trailed 12-0 at the time.
Kuemper scored a pair of runs in the 1st inning with a Melinda Schaefer single, a walk by Kaci Peter and a sac fly from Ellie Sibbel. They blew the game open, batting around in the 2nd inning, sending 10 batters to the plate, scoring 7-runs. Allison Ostrander opened up the run with a single, followed by an RBI single from Alexis Diercksen, a hit-by-pitch from Ally Sommerfield, an RBI single from Melinda Schaefer, Kaci Peter walk and a 2 RBI single from Kaylie Diercksen. Ellie Sibbel added an RBI single and Myli Schaefer drove in a run with a sac fly to centerfield. The Knights added a pair of runs in the 3rd and 1 more in the 4th, ending the inning with runners on 2nd and 3rd base. Vanessa Koehler singled for the Wildcats to start the 4th inning, stole 2nd base and scored on a sac fly from Elizabeth Lloyd.
Melinda Schaefer, Kaci Peter and Alexis Diercksen all had 2 hits with Peter doubling, driving in a pair of runs and scoring twice. Schaefer scored 3 times and Diercksen added a couple runs scored. Myli Schaefer, Kaylie Diercksen and Ellie Sibbel all drove in a pair of runs, Chloe Gehling scored twice. Ally Sommerfield earned the win, going 3 innings, allowing no hits with 3 strikeouts.
Vanessa Koehler had the lone hit for the Wildcats and scored a run. Elizabeth Lloyd had an RBI and Jaelyn Subbert stole a pair of bases.
The pair of wins improved Kuemper to 11-8. They host Creston for a varsity doubleheader on Monday. Glidden Ralston drops to 7-5 and will host Manson NW Webster on Monday.
