Carroll played another one of the top teams in the Raccoon River Conference well before running out of steam late. The Tigers were outscored 9-2 over the final three innings, taking advantage of a few Tiger miscues. Carroll had 6 errors, allowing 6 unearned runs.
Carroll struck first, scoring in the 1st inning when Tate Schleiman got on base and scored on a Bomber error. The lead didn’t hold as Ballard scored 3 times in the top 2nd. It remained a 2-run game until the 5th when Ballard added 2-runs, then scored 3 more in the 6th to lead 8-1. A 4-run top 7th pushed the game out of reach but Carroll kept fighting, scoring twice in the bottom 7th. Bryton Treadway and Tate Schleisman both scored on wild pitches.
Tate Schleisman had a strong night at the plate, with 3 hits, including a double and scoring twice. Chase Ragaller, Stone Sibenanaller and Carter Essick all had a base hit. Carroll left 8 runners on base. Carroll used 4 pitchers, allowing all of them to be available for the tournament on Saturday. Stone Sibenaller, Chase Ragaller and Linkin Weitl all pitched 2 innings. The Tigers pitchers combined to allow 13 hits and 6 earned runs with 4 strikeouts and 7 walks.
The loss dropped Carroll to 1-9 overall and 0-7 in the Raccoon River Conference. Carroll hosts their own tournament on Saturday beginning at 10:00.

IKM-Manning held on after getting a couple early runs to get a huge road win, dropping AHSTW to 7-3 on the season. The Wolves missed an opportunity to open a bigger lead early but got a big base hit from Bryc Summerfield to take a 1-0 lead in the 1st inning. Ben Ramsey and Lane Sams were both hit by a pitch, Summerfield drove in Ramsey with a single but the Wolves stranded a pair of runners on base. Ross Kusel started the 2nd inning with a walk, stole 2nd and 3rd bases and scored on a sac fly by Kasche Huehn. Carson Perdew made it hold up. He held AHSTW scoreless until the 6th inning, allowing 7 hits and walking only 1. The Vikings broke through with a run in the 6th but Perdew and the Wolves defense held them at bay.
Cooper Perdew earned the win, going the distance on the hill, allowing 7 hits and 1 earned run with 2 strikeouts. He added a pair of hits at the plate. Bryc Summerfield had a hit and an RBI while Kasche Huehn drove in a run and Ross Kusel and Ben Ramsey both scored once.
The Wolves won their second straight to improve to 4-7 overall. They travel to Underwood on Friday.

Tri Center hit the ball well and took advantage of a few Wheelers errors, topping Audubon 11-3. The Wheelers had 5 hits with five different players garnering a hit. Cooper Nielsen and Jay Remsburg both had doubles. The Wheelers scored a pair of runs in the 2nd inning, then added their final run in the 7th. Tri Center scored in the 1st inning, then scored 3 in each of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th innings.
Adam Obrecht had a team high 2 RBI and Jay Remsburg added an RBI and scored a run. Cooper Nielsen, Evan Alt and Gavin Larsen had the Wheelers other 3 hits. Carson Wesssel and Mason Steckler scored their other run. Evan Alt took the loss on the mound, going 3 innings, allowing 4 hits and 4 earned runs with 2 strikeouts.
The Wheelers fall to 2-10 overall and 0-7 in the WIC. They will look to break a 10 game losing streak when they host AHSTW on Friday.

Coon Rapids Bayard was steady on Thursday on the road, scoring in 4 innings, collecting 9 hits with 4 doubles. Cade Behrens was outstanding on the mound, allowing 5 hits while striking out 9. The Crusaders scored a pair of runs in the 2nd inning, then added a run in the 3rd. They opened things up with 2-runs in the 5th.
Cade Behrens had a great night, having 3 doubles on offense with 3 RBI and picking up the win on the mound, going 6 1/3 innings with 5 hits and 9 strikeouts with only 1 walk. Ty Heydon added a pair of hits with a couple runs scored, Wyatt Oswald scored a pair of runs, Parker Hays doubled and scored and Lance Clayburg stole 4 bases with 3 hit-by-pitch.
The Crusaders improve to 12-1 and travel to 11-1 West Harrison on Friday.
