Carroll exploded for 9-runs in the 2nd inning to open up a tie game, maintaining the lead the rest of the way as the Knights continued to throw counter punches, cutting the lead to 12-6 and 15-10, after trailing 11-2. Both teams scored a pair of runs in the 1st inning. Averi Burke settled in, getting Kuemper in order in the 2nd. The Tigers used that momentum, getting the first-seven batters on base and scoring all of them in the bottom 2nd. Amanda Wardell, Parker Adams, Kloee Jones, Averi Burke and Makalei Kofron all picked up an RBI during the run. That wasn’t it for the Tigers, sending 14 batters to the plate with Wardell and Adams adding a second RBI each in their second time at the plate. Kuemper fought back in the 3rd with Allison Ostrander singling to right field, driving in a pair of runs. The Knights scored 4 times in the 3rd, pulling within 11-6. The Tigers added a run in the bottom 3rd when Averi Burke doubled and Bella Lu ran for her and scored on a single by Makalei Kofron. Neither team scored again until the 6th when Kuemper scored twice highlighted by an Alexis Diercksen single, scoring Chloe Gehling and Allison Ostrander. Carroll quickly responded back with 3 of their own in the bottom 6th. Makalei Kofron and Ava Gross both had RBI singles. Myli Schaefer and Allison Ostrander both got on, helping Kuemper score a pair of runs in the top 7th but Averi Burke ended the game, inducing a fly ball to Amanda Wardell in right field.
Makalei Kofron led the Tigers with 4 hits of their 18 hit attack. Kloee Jones finished with 3 hits, Parker Adams, Averi Burke and Amanda Wardell all had 2 hits. Burke and Kofron both doubled. Adams, Kofron and Amanda Wardell all had 2 RBI. Bella Lu led Carroll with 4 runs scored and Makalei Kofron scored 3 times.
The Knights finished with 13 hits, with Melinda Schaefer leading the way with 3 hits and Allison Ostrander and Alexis Diercksen both having a pair of hits. Alexis Diercksen had a team high 3 RBI, Kaylie Diercksen, Ellie Sibbel and Allison Ostrander all had 2 RBI. Schaefer and Ostrander both scored twice.
Carroll High improves to 4-4 and will travel to Bondurant Farrar on Wednesday. Kuemper slips to 2-5 and will head to Ogden on Wednesday.

Glidden Ralston out hit West Harrison 12-2 on their a way to a 12-0 win in 5 innings. The Wildcats stretched the lead with 6-runs in the 2nd inning, going up 8-0. Their 3-run 5th inning helped put the game away as the Wildcats held West Harrison scoreless in the bottom half. Five Wildcats had hits in the game with Vanessa Koehler and Kassidy Wenck both having 3 hits. Koehler tripled and scored 4 times. Tiela Jansssen had a pair of hits, including a double, 2 RBI and scored 3 times. Ashlynn Tigges and Jaelyn Subbert also had 2 hits apiece. Tigges added 3 RBI and scored twice and Subbert had 2 RBI. Audubon was out hit 10-9 but took advantage of their 9 hits and 9 walks and 5 hit-by-pitches to score 16-runs. The Wheelers had three extra base hits with a pair of doubles and a triple, helping them drive in 13 RBI. Audubon trailed early with Underwood up 2-0 heading to the 2nd inning. The Wheelers scored 4 times, highlighted by a Kali Irlmeier double, scoring 3-runs. Underwood went back on top with 3-runs in the 3rd but Audubon took the lead for good with a 5-run 4th inning. Jordan Porsch drove in 4-runs and scored 4 times. Mattie Nielsen and Kylee Hartl both had 2-hits with Nielsen tripling and 3-runs scored. Hartl added an RBI and scored a run. Addie Hocker had a pair of RBI.
The Wheelers improve to 4-1 and will travel to Coon Rapids Bayard on Thursday on 93.7 KKRL.
