Carroll played their best game of the season, not making an error and getting a strong pitching performance from Linkin Weitl. The Tigers grabbed a 3-0 lead in the 3rd inning when Ryan North singled, driving in Dreylen Schweitzer and Chase Ragaller added a pair of RBI on a single that scored Stone Sibenaller and Braxton Lu. The offense finished with 7 hits but left 7 on-base. Woodward Granger responded with a 4-run bottom of the 3rd. A 3-run double put them ahead.

Chase Ragaller paced the offense with 3 hits and 2 RBI. Dreylen Schweitzer, Ryan North, Stone Sibenaller and Braxton Lu all had base hits. Linkin Weitl went 6 innings, allowing 5 hits and 4 earned runs.

The Tigers fell to 0-5 and will travel to Bondurant Farrar on Wednesday.

Kuemper nearly let one slip away as Woodbury Central scored 4-runs in the 7th to send the game to extra innings. They left a runner on 2nd base when the 7th ended. The Knights took advantage of a walk to Cooper Pottebaum to start the bottom 8th. He worked his way to 3rd on walks by Ethan Loew and Max Irlmeier and scored on a wild pitch. The win snaps a two game losing streak, improving them to 5-2. Woodbury Central scored first, taking a 1-0 lead in the 1st inning. Kuemper responded in their half. Logan Sibenaller tripled to start the inning and scored on a ground out by Benicio Lujano. The Knights took their first lead in the 3rd when Carter Putney singled and scored on single by Benicio Lujano. The lead grew in  the 4th. Trevor Rial walked and Cooper Pottebaum reached on a fielders choice. Ethan Loew singled to drive in a run. Rial and Pottebaum scored and Kuemper led 4-1. The lead grew to 5-1 in the 5th. Logan Sibenaller reached on an error and was driven in by Koby Lampman. The Knights left runners on 2nd base in the 6th and 7th innings.

Kuemper was able to score 6-runs on 4-hits. Logan Sibenaller tripled and scored twice. Benicio Lujano singled and had 2 RBI, Ethan Loew singled, driving in  run and Carter Putney singled and scored. Mason Knerl pitched 6 innings, allowing 3 hits and 1 earned run while striking out 5.

The Knights host Underwood on Wednesday.

The Raiders kept hanging around but couldn’t keep up as the Cougars started scoring runs late in the game. The Raiders struck in the 3rd inning, Weston Drost was hit-by-pitch, took 2nd on a wild pitch, moved to 3rd on a ground out by Karter Ludwig and scored on a wild pitch, putting the Raiders up 1-0. The Cougars scored twice in the bottom 3rd to take the lead for good. They extended it with a pair of runs in the 4th. East Sac responded in the 5th on a Weston Drost walk. He moved to 2nd on an error, took 3rd on a passed ball and scored when Jack Gullett was hit-by-pitch with the bases loaded. Manson NW Webster answered again with 3-runs in the bottom 5th and led 7-2. The Raiders clawed back in with a pair of runs in the top 6th. Weston Drost walked for the second time and Karter Ludwig singled, followed by a Luke Wernimont single to load the bases. Jack Gullett drove in Drost and Ludwig, pulling the Raiders within 7-4 with runners on 1st and 3rd with 2 outs. East Sac didn’t score and Manson NW Webster put the game away with 4-runs in the bottom 6th. The Raiders left 11 guys on base, finishing with 4 hits.

Luke Wernimont went 2-2 and Jack Gullett was 1-2 with 3 RBI. Weston Drost was hit twice, walked twice and scored 3 times.

The Raiders fall to 0-4 and will head to Emmetsburg on Wednesday.

Colby Wallace and Wyatt Ragaller were in a pitching dual with Wallace getting just enough help from the offense to give the Wildcats a 4-2 win. Wallace went the distance for Glidden Ralston, allowing 4 hits and 2 earned runs while striking out 10. Ragaller went 5 innings for the Rockets, allowing 3 runs with 1 earned. He struck out 9. Neither team had a big inning. The Wildcats scored a run in each of the 1st and 2nd inning. Ar-We-Va responded with a run in the 4th, but Glidden Ralston added a run in the 5th. Both teams scored in the 6th.

Jackson Sklenar doubled and scored for the Wildcats while Jonathan Bergmeier drove in a run. Daniel Thooft and Colby Wallace both had base hits for Glidden Ralston.

Timothy Dose and Jonathan Riesselman both had hits for the Rockets.

Glidden Ralston won their third in a row, improving to 3-3. They travel to West Harrison on Tuesday. Ar-We-Va slips to 0-3 and heads to Coon Rapids Bayard on Tuesday.

Coon Rapids Bayard won their sixth in a row to open the season, getting a great pitching performance from Kolby Culbertson, who went the distance, striking out 13, allowing only 4 hits. Lance Clayburg paced a strong offensive attack with 3 hits, including a pair of doubles with 2 RBI. Cal Heydon added a pair of hits and Parker Hays, Jace Baker and Jacob Estrada all had a hit and 2 RBI.

The Crusaders host Ar-We-Va on Tuesday.

Audubon had the lead late but Treynor rallied with a run in the 6th and 7th, sending the game to extra innings. The Wheelers saw the game slip away when Jaxon Schumacher homered in the top of the 8th. The Wheelers had good energy and played well, with one bad inning. The Cardinals scored four times in the 2nd inning with 3 of those unearned. Audubon chipped away, scoring a run in the bottom of the 2nd and three more in the 3rd. They grabbed the lead in the 5th with a pair of runs.

Brody Schultes was 4-4 at the plate with 2 RBI and scored a run. Aaron Olsen and Carson Wessel both had a pair of hits and scored a run. Wessel added 2 RBI. Gavin Larsen pitched 5 innings, allowing 4 runs but none were earned. He struck out 5.

Audubon slips to 2-4 overall as they prepare to head to Underwood on Tuesday.

IKM-Manning never fully recovered from a 7-run 1st inning by Tri Center. They kept fighting, scoring 3-runs in the bottom 1st and 3 more in the 5th but 7 errors kept the Trojans offense adding to their lead. Tri Center scored in every inning but the 6th.

Zander Richards and Jace Starman had the Wolves two hits on offense. Richards added a pair of RBI.

IKM-Manning slips to 0-4 and will head to Missouri Valley on Tuesday.
