Girls State Golf Results Thursday, May 25th 

Class 2A At American Legion Golf Course At Marshalltown 

Addy Beiter of Kuemper

 

Addy Beiter of Kuemper is off to a strong start in the Class 2A field in Marshalltown, finishing her first day with a 88, tied with Audrey Overgaard of Garner-Hayfield-Ventura for 8th place. Beiter shot a 44 on both the front and back 9’s, showing great consistency in her game. She had five par’s on the day, on holes 2 and 9 on the front 9, then picking up three on the back 9 on holes 12, 13 and 16. She added 6 bogeys on the front 9 and 3 more on the back 9.

Chloe Bolte of Sumner-Fredericksburg is the day 1 leader with a 75 and Kendra Casey of Sioux Central is in 2nd place with a 79, one stroke ahead of Olivia Hines of Mediapolis.

Roland Story has the team lead with a 358, five strokes in front of Sumner Fredericksburg with a 363 and West Marshall is 3rd with a 369.

Class 1A At Cedar Pointe Golf Course At Boone 

Kylie Powers of IKM-Manning, Addy Boell of Glidden Ralston and Kali Irlmeier of Audubon

 

The three area golfers wrapped up day 1 of the State Golf Tournament with each having a solid round. Kylie Powers of IKM-Manning currently sits in the top 10, tied for 9th place with Avery Dirks of Grundy Center. Powers shot an 89 with a 48 on the front 9 and a 41 on the back. She shot par on holes 11, 13, 15 and 18  while shooting bogey on holes 1-5 on the front 9. Addy Boell is tied for 17th place, having shot a 93 on the day. Boell finished her day with a 46 on the front 9 and a 47 on the back 9. She had par on holes 8 and 11 along with shooting bogey on 6 holes on the front 9 and 5 holes on the back 9. She is tied with Jenna Roling of Easton Valley. Kali Irlmeier is tied for 25th with a 99. Irlmeier shot a 47 on the front 9 with a birdie on hole 4, a par 3 and 4 bogeys. She shot a 52 on the back 9, which included 3 bogeys. Irlmeier is tied with Eve Brumbaugh of Sidney, Jaeden Hellenthal of East Buchanan, Nevaeh Lyman of Newell Fonda, Emma Nye of New London, Grace Erickson of Newell Fonda and Alexis Barber, also of Newell Fonda.

Taylor Phillips of New London is the day 1 leader with a 78 while Abbie Lindeman of Grundy Center finished with a 80 and is in 2nd place.

Grundy Center has the lead after day 1 with a 351, 13 shots ahead of New London in 2nd place with a 364 while BCLUW is 3rd with a 389. Newell Fonda from the Twin Lakes Conference is 5th with a 400 and Alta Aurelia from the Twin Lakes Conference is 10th with a 434.
