Kuemper battled, down 3-1 at half but fell at Underwood in the Class 1A Region 5 Semifinals on Tuesday. They finish the season 12-7, as Underwood improves to 10-2. The Eagles scored their second goal at 12:59 in the 1st half, then went up 3-1 on a goal with 1:05 remaining. Kuemper scored in the 1st half on a goal from Catherine Mayhall. The Knights were only able to take six shots on goal, struggling to get open looks against the Eagles. The Eagles scored under two minutes into the 2nd half, then added their fifth goal with 35:16 left. Kuemper didn’t recover and the Eagles advance to the Regional Final.
